Hmmm. All that fancy stuff made the file size pretty damn big. Let me work some compression on it..... 900mb for an 8 minute file is a bit excessive....

No kidding Chris, I thought it was going to be a piece of cake. But then I got up to the line, adrenaline was racing, I had no idea what was going on, there were all these cool cars around - sensory overload!
My first reaction time was 1.6480!!! Bwahahah!! But my trap speed was 97.59. Just goes to show that the car can rock and roll, I just need to get on the same beat!
VIDEO IS DONE!!!!
***EDIT**** BLARG!!! False alarm. It popped as active, but then said it wasn't done. Bastards. Should be soon.

I like the pic of that si on two wheels thats crazy.
In that pic with your car and the yellow one it looks like part of the strip is wet or is that just burnt rubber from when people heat up there slicks?

Dude that was awesome! the best youtube vid, I'm going to put that one on my pick of the month.
I can see that the reaction time and jump at the light is robbing you of time.
Don't feel bad about the white four door the Cosworth is a racing engine.
Clint thanks for making the vid and awesome thread its been a lot of fun following your progress, I cant wait to see your next vid when you run 14's or better.
P.S. I loved how you inluded old Five head in the credits.
Cool soundtrack too.

Thanks folks! I've watched my own vid at least a dozen times all ready, I love it too!
Glad to see I made your Youtube 'o the month Richard!
Jose, you're going to have to lube the **** out of it. You can't hit it with a torch either because there is plastic inside the endlink. I ended up drilling one out and replacing it because I rounded out the Allen key hole since it was mired on there so tight. Try not to do that, since I don't know what kind of tools you have at the dorm.

Naw man, you and everyone else who are the diehard contributors in this thread know who you are. As I spent over an hour going through the entire thread, getting everyone who had ever contributed to it, or gave a compliment to the build, it was pretty evident as to who my peeps are!

What was your average reaction time? Based on the videos man thats what you need to work on....That escort that you faced looks similiar to one I took on and yep it smoked my a$$...it was on such poor exterior condition I didn't think it was going to run long enough to make it too the start line...but looks can be deceiving!!!!

I'm gonna watch it again too man!
My average reaction time was just short of "really awful". It's definitely one of the things I need to work on. I think not waiting until the green light goes on will help a lot too! I will be practicing over the next few weeks, that's for sure!
Once again, I feel a bit dirty.... This is kind of like having someone say, "Dude! I soooo jerked off to your sister last night!"
Quit going blind Jza!!!!

Ok, so I go to the in laws for the the weekend and come back to 47 new posts.
I love the video, I go to Enis every year when NOPI is in town. I have never had the courage to get out there on the track. You put the Civic on the track you first visit. +1 for you.
Also, as everyone has said leaving on the green is bad, and if you are on treaded street tires drive around the water box. If you drive threw it you will get water in the tread, this will fly off as the tire begins to spin and cause even more spinning. So slicks = water box, DOT radials = NOT.
Plus as Chris has pointed out, you need to get to a Dyno. If not to find your max HP and TQ, to see the curve and to find your ideal shift points.
Lastly thanks for the mention in the credits, and for making me the only person on the entire thread that gets there picture in the Foos Production. It's not a full body shot ,just the head is mine. Still I am the only one. AND THAT IS COOL!
ps
Let me know when the eagle lands.

Awesome vid foos...mad props as always for working so hard and keeping us involved and letting us be a part of this build experience...the fun has only just begun
