What did you do to your civic today?
Re: What did you do to your civic today?
It takes time, but yeah, done right, you can get it to shine. When I first got my car, I gave it a thorough detail, even though the paint was crap. Looked brand new. Paint was nice and slick. It just takes a lot of time. If you plan on doing it, make sure you start in the morning. But then again, I have a garage, so when I get done washing it, I drive into my garage to do the waxing claying and polishing.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
its dc headers to tsudo catback. it sounds like its coming from the around the front or middle of the pipe. usually only when i get off to a bad start or something. sometimes it doesnt matter and it will just rattle like ****. i put some dynamat extreme between the pipe and car towards the middle of the car. but that's all i can reach without jackin the car up. i think adjusting the hangers would just make it hang lower. and it's lowest point is only 2 inches off the ground already.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
Didn't take any pics last night. I'll prolly take some tomorrow because I got too much goin tonight. I just installed the 2500k bulbs. Gotta say, you can tell they're a lot more yellow than the MTEC 3300k golden styles. I think I need to re-aim my headlights though. I think both projector and reflector on my passenger side are a bit high.
Didn't install the amber bulbs though. I think I'll hold onto 'em in case my LED bulbs decide to **** themselves
edit: a word of advice to anyone that buys TRS's new (dual relay) H4 relay harness: you may have to depin and switch the ground pins on the H4 plug they give you for it to work right. When I got mine, my low beam energized both relays, and flipping my high beam on opened the high beam relay. Simply switching the relays around doesn't quite work

Replaced my windshield wiper fluid tubes with clear airline tubing from local fish store (LOL)
$2 upgrade, so whatever
Drove around all day, didn't seem to melt, and worked fine, so whatever :P
Replaced it all the way down to the pump, since the tubing was right above the splash gaurd, wasnt too hard to access
Installed my header and tow hook

mine are icky too and i hate how they look. i was debating on puttin some of that left over wire cover stuff on em, that blue tubing or whatever. just to cover em up. hmm.. might do that today.

Put a pioneer touch screen in this weekend and installed a factory spoiler. Getting the front bumper repainted right now then windows tinted. Polishing and waxing the car when I get it back, hopefully will put some before and after pics of everything this weekend.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
threw some 38 psi in the rears and 36 on the fronts since i was planning to autoX, but got sick and did not go... Almost spun in a 90 deg corner... darm, the progress rear sway does its job... pretty well, actually. Having been running same pressure F/R the last year and now i got surprised
Re: What did you do to your civic today?
Secured my very short ram "intake" lol. Got it for free from a friend so I only had to buy the filter. It was rattling like crazy since there was no good way to secure it and all I was using before was a coat hanger so I "fabricated" this beautiful piece of soft metal to hold it in place. No more rattle = job well done.

Does the job of making the car sound deep and raunchy at low RPM's so there's no real reason to get a full one apart from looks... which might be reason enough.
Also I painted my key hole black.

Some things I don't have pictures for are... glued my fog light switch into place (was just hanging loose before) above the cup holders. I'll take a picture another day. Also found a way to secure my shift boot to my shift ****. And I armor all'd the dash.
All in all... a busy day.
Ps I swore this thread was once in the 7th gen forum.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
At least you got 2 filters to keep your engine safe lol. But would that cut down on the amount of fresh air actually making it to the engine?
Re: What did you do to your civic today?
Didn't actually... I would've if I had noticed any decrease in performance at all but it's as smooth as ever. The filter needs replacing anyway so I may as well take it out tomorrow.
Didn't think it would make any of a difference.
