Finally fixed my fog lights! Turns out I was wiring it correctly and it was actually the switch that had been fried so I resoldered that and BAM it works perfectly
And I got my drivers side tint redone under warrenty because it was peeling

Took my pretty little red thing for a canyon drive tonight. Forgot how differently it handles since I put the rear sway on. Hell yea!

took apart my used hybrid mirrors and did a bunch of cleaning. the housings need paint, and the insides need new actuator motors cause the old ones dont hold the mirror in position. but i took it all apart without breaking. need to get a quote on paint, then order actuators and put it all together. so far the mirrors were only $150, actuators $100 for both sides, and then paint. turned out to be more than i thought but i think its worth it. i cleaned up the old mirrors with adams spray glaze so that saved me another $30 for new mirrors. the old ones were trashed but the glaze took out ALL the water spots! looks like new again. these unfortunately did not come in silver (i got the opal blue silver from an 05 hybrid so theyre genuine honda). i know the aftermarket folding mirrors wouldve been cheaper and easier to paint, but quality wouldve sucked.

This just isnt my day. I readjusted the valves. When I took the wiring harness out of the way I shorted my wrench out and blew the 80amp fuse. Then when I put it together, the valve cover gasket didnt seat right and oil poured out of the timing cover
fml
No clue what to clean the timing belt and everything in the timing cover off with.

That sucks. How did you end up with oil in the cover to begin with? Unless there was residual oil lying in there?
Took the car out for a nice drive. I forget just how well this little car handles with stock suspension. Makes for a nice daily drive on the small backroads over here.

check the auto store for a cleanup spray. i think you can use the electric parts cleaner on rubber/plastic without destroying it. carb cleaner would be a mess and prolly kill the belt. then spray some belt dressing on once its clean.

Took the shifter area apart to replace the stupid light bulb in there. Because little stuff like that tends to annoy me.. While everything was apart I cleaned it up really well, looks like the previous owner liked to spill drinks all over the shifter on a regular basis. Next I am debating on painting the silver trim piece as well as the silver part of the shifter since they match nothing else in the car, and they're kinda scratched up anyway.

I just used car wash and water. I wet the sponge and cleaned the belt as I turned the crank. I blew it out with air after, then sprayed it out with electronics cleaner. Well she got me from pottstown to haddon heights today so im guess its ok. still running the stock dx exhaust which is leaking massively. Cant wait to get my exhaust made up. I have a ex manifold, 2" vibrant cat, magnaflow resonator, and a new muffler. Well see how she sounds next week!
