What did you do to your civic today?
Re: What did you do to your civic today?
Today I took out the airbox filter as per suggestion in this thread. First time doing this to any car and it took me a couple of mins to realize that the filter doesn't come out of the plastic frame lol.
AND I ALSO GOT MY FOGS WORKING!! woot woot so happy. Can't wait to test them at night.

Got the car back from the body shop.. lots of fresh paint! New hood, front bumper, rear bumper, grill, lip, tailights. Got a set of thin side moldings that are being painted along with my stock skirts. I have fog lights that I want to put in but I almost like the way it looks now better.. suggestions? (the light bezels are painted to match the car)
Pics!

Couldn't get a decent front shot with the phone but you get the idea.. lol

Fixed my gauge light issue, and finally fired her up with the new motor after shes been sittin for 4 months. Felt dumb backin it out of the garage....i left the e-brake on the whole time n the drums rusted fast. I was just like F-it n drug the rear tires till the drums broke loose lol. Hope I didnt bust the shoes lol. But its runnin good n I plan on posting pics soon! (but not till im all the way done)

Lmfao. Nah. It's a maple leaf(it isn't even fall!) and a hole for one of the seat bolts. I found an onion ring carrier in my car. I don't eat onion rings so I think my friend did when he borrowed my car while I was away. Lol. I also noticed something odd. My dash doesn't light up from the 55 to 65 mph area. :/ . Sometimes it'll light up, but then it won't.

Replaced my burnt up a/c control unit n ended up swapping the dials and all once I realized the ones I grabbed from a 4 door ex are backlit blue....sweet lol accidental mod! has anyone tried replacing the orange plastic in the defrost buttons to make them match the blue a/c controls? I wanna swap with the blue cluster too n completely ditch the vp's ugly orange...ick!

well i worked on her from 8 am to 12 pm. l narrowed down my electrical issues to a defective glo-shift gauge (im a little dissapionted)and just put the interior back together and everything necessary to at least get to the point of a test drive. hopin and prayin that shes ok. lots been done to this point. may need to readjust the valves its a little noisy but i guess the last motor made a little more noise with the crower cam so im not sure.

sprayed some belt dressing on the squeaky a/c belt, seems to have helped for now and the belts are still in decent shape. as much as i hate that dressing cause it gets everywhere and dirt sticks to it, the noise was worse.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
im starting to regret getting these hybrid mirrors, they are gonna be a huge pain to paint since they are folding and have to be completely dismantled to cover over all the old paint. maybe i might go with bomex instead. i was worried about the looks tho, but they are way more aero than the hybrids.

there is an LED conversion kit u can get to change the color of the cluster available here...that way u wont need to worry bout your odometer reading from getting a new cluster plus i think they might be a bit brighter than the stock backlighting

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
Finished my little eco run today...
and I realized 2 things
My driving habit sucks ***, and my gas meter is retarded lol
I started driving like a granny, very slow accel, minimal vtec engagement, low volume music, no AC...anything that would maximize my MPG.
I achieved 38mpg with my car, as apposed to my 28~29mpg average.
