What did you do to your civic today?
Re: What did you do to your civic today?
yeah my gauge is also retarded it took 5 minutes to reach half tank mark after i pumped gas. then it went back down to a quarter tank after i turned the car off then back on so basically its useless.

My needle jumps back to full within 20 or so seconds.
Its that,
60 Miles - Slightly touching full bar
90 Miles - 1 tiny bar under full bar
150 Miles - Quarter tank gone
200 Miles - At half tank
250 Miles - Quarter tank left
280 Miles - Light turns on
But then again, I realize, I get my best MPG from full to half tank.
So now, I fill up whenever I pass by costco at half'ish tank

My car will be in the garage....although I'm afraid of what may happen if the power goes out and I can't get my car out for work or something
. Wait, I totally have the perfect excuse now!

Went to go leave for work and she wouldn't start :-/. Topped off the battery, checked connections and fuses, only for her not to start even with a jump off. Cranks but wont start, the story of my life lol. Not finished for the day though.

She's so beautiful when she's wet...

Oh, ahem, Did I say that out loud?
Gave her a bath, and filled her shoes.
Was 28 Psi all around, filled her back up to 35

Drove 300 miles down to school and averaged 40mpg..however my exhaust cracked between the header and cat on the way down...damnit. On the plus side-- I got a B18C1 block for $200.

Could be the oil getting on the seal
I pulled mine out a couple times, and it seemed to lose it's grip
Wiped down the rubber seal, and it stuck in like new again

180k kms still original MTF, original clutch .. how long will she go? Let's find out
Still shifts well, clutch is in good shape... Only shifts rough when cold. I'm going to see if the MTF + tranny last the life of the car.

removed both wiper arms today. was gonna buy new ones to replace the peeling old ones, but it looks so much cleaner without any wipers that i left them off. its been about a year since i last used em and the view from inside the car is much nicer
maybe they will go back for winter lol.

i detailed the interior, refilled my windsheild washer fluid with rain-x liquid, and prepped for tomorrow's list of washing, claybar, and waxing. cant wait!
and speaking of wipers.. does anyone use or have the rain-x wipers? i was lookin at em today, but wasnt sure if they were any good. mine are crap and i need new ones soon.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
I got them in the winter time when I bought the car. They lasted me a month but one day there was a heavy snowfall. They froze and had like 8 inches of snow sitting on top for like 2 days before I wiped the snow off but it was too late, they had bent a bit and got didn't perform as well. However, they had a one year warranty and I got new ones and those have lasted me with no problems so far! Just remember in the winter to stick your wiper blades up if you hear it's gonna snow lol

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
i prefer the bosch micro edge, ive tried over 10 other brands before (see old review here somewhere) and the micro edges are by far the best. its a regular conventional design with graphite coated blade. smoothest wipe and longest lasting with no jitters or streaking.
thanks for the heads up. i know removing the wiper arms is illegal, but i doubt anyone would notice and we have had maybe two sprinkle rain storms since june so i have a good excuse. we get maybe 15 mins of rain a month if that. even winters here are not terrible. i just carry a rag in my car to wipe the window off after driving when salt and junk gets on it. ive been without washer fluid over a year and never missed it. have a feeling the wipers will not be missed either but it literally takes a minute to throw em on if i think the weather is bad.
