What did you do to your civic today?
Re: What did you do to your civic today?
left ignition wire and ACC wire from cd player harness exposed. FRIED the guage cluster circuitboard! now it's going to be $860 to fix!
a costly lesson learned. ALWAYS TAPE UP EXPOSED WIRES!

i edited the previous post, you mustve been too fast lol. im also thinking about going back to stock exhaust. 7 yr old RSR is getting too loud.
Re: What did you do to your civic today?
i did and maybe, lol. tequnically the fine states that in bc you must have two plates and that they must both be legibly displaying the proper number, in order to not be fined the $198. So i do have two issued plates and they are both clearly marked with the number issued to my license. how ever, in the MVA it states that one is not supposed to deface the plate. so even though it still reads properly, i guess they might argue that it's not official paint and there for defaced.
i did leave the rear plate alone, that is the one that holds my registration sticker. so i'm hoping it'll be ok.

Drove with the windows down
. Turned off my music and actually listened to the car. Man, even with the short ram, that deep tone sounds beautiful. Probably would sound even better with a finely tuned exhaust

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
drove on the highway for 5-10 mins, rarely do this but wanted to see how stable the car is now that the tires have over 1k on em. nice smooth ride, but i got reminded why i hate freeways when a big rig in front of me started sandblasting the car. got some nice new chips to add to the collection. my bumper/hood/windshield is so beat up. if i had money i would get a new front windshield and repaint the car
it needs badly lol. im also enjoying my new stationary (non rocking) driver seat.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
you shouldve seen my front oem lip, it had so many chips there was actually more primer showing than paint. replaced that a few yrs ago and it made a big difference, but the bumper itself and hood still have a good amount of touchup paint spots. oh yeah and the hail damage. maybe i need a different car lol. sometimes i wish i had a 2003 civic hybrid. i could just transfer most of the mods over too.

Finally got my new clutch in the mail, and it's on! Now just need to spend all day tomorrow reinstalling the transmission, new ball joints, and all that jazz so I can drive it lol. Time to finally get cracking on this now that the parts have arrived... after I sleep a little bit >.<

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
lol i found a big rust patch under the car im gonna hit with paint again today. its a losing battle with this car.
Re: What did you do to your civic today?
I finally got around stripping this horrible spray paint job the last owner did with the rims. It took me 4 freaking hours removing ALL the black paint, primer, pink paint underneath and another layer of primer. I think a wheel a week should be good. ****note - airplane stripper does not work like it shows on youtube.

I was hearing scraping noises when turning left hard. Jacked up the car and played with the wheels a bit trying to figure what was up. Ended up buying a new rear hub for the bearing on ebay to install during my spring break in one week. Added to the list of retrofit, knock sensor, and fogs during the break.
