Re: What did you do to your civic today?
Pretty much. Using a socket wrench it was very easy to rethread. The damage wasn't too bad in the first place (I used on M12x1.25 wheel locks by mistake) so there was some cross threading. I couldn't get any lug nuts on. It took about 5 mins on each side and there were quite a bit of metal shavings left over on the ground.
It's quite effective if the damage is only mild, and you can buy specific taps and dies meant for repairing threads. It does compromise strength a bit as Max mentioned, but as long as it's only done on one wheel stud or the first couple threads, I wouldn't be concerned in the least.

Went out driving and picked up electrical outlets for the home (replacing later). Then I went to Goodwill to look around and had my
moment of the day.
I was in the for 10 minutes maybe, got back and checked the middle parking lot where I parked next to a truck, but for some reason my car wasn't there. I look a little to the right and there it was, pulled ahead from me not putting the parking brake on... Someone must be up there looking out for me (and putting in overtime), because there wasn't any vehicle in the spaces ahead. So my day went from an almost-ruined day to
. Sadly, this is the second time it's happened since I've owned the car.

Today I washed the car. Invisible Glassed all the windows, put my summer tires and wheels on, washed the winter floor mats, washed the summer ones too and they'll go in tomorrow. Also tomorrow I'm gonna wash it again because I seriously suck at washing my car (honestly I can scrub the front bumper for 10 minutes straight and it'll still be dirty and grimy when it dries). I'm also going to clean up ALLLL of the grease in the doors, vacuum the interior and the whole shebang on the inside. I'll maybe snap a picture or two.
And if it's extra nice, I might get around to do gearbox's DIY seat rock fix and buy a new gas cap.

Changed the CV axle and tie rod end on the passenger side of my car. Pulled the boot off the CV axle to see what happened in there, and I pulled the end off the shaft and bearings on in 18 Pieces. Kinda sucks, cuzz that axle only had about 8000 miles on it.

As for my Honda, i have a auto also, and although I have done a accurate test, its somewhere around 6-7 seconds.
Re: What did you do to your civic today?
Changed the oil, and decided it waz time to really test out what power im getting out of the new p&p/head rebuild. Took my buddy with me. He thinks ill take his 167whp neon, but im skeptical. Maybe its just the vp trans, but after driving a 300hp lincoln it feels like a turd. Im ready to step up to a wrx. Seems like it may be trying to lean out on wot. Sometimes it pulls, and other times not. Ill try the fuel filter/strainer next. On a good note, im shocked by the difference the neuspeed strut bar made! Its worth it!
Re: What did you do to your civic today?
Decided to use some aerosol nighthawk black pearl from advance auto to spray over the flat black spots from where I did the filler/bodywork. A little upset it repelled and I wiped it off, now all I see is black smeared over the white body filler. Why did it repel?

Installed my Blox intake mani with GSR TB, re routed my CX cable so that I could opent he throttle 100% of the way. I started double winding the spring on the throttle of mine and my friends cars and I like the way it feels a lot more than it did when the car was new.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
did you at least use a primer first? you cant spray paint directly onto anything. clean the area with alcohol, if its smooth then sand it a bit too, then primer and paint. i learned the hard way when i sprayed a part of the roof and few months later all of it peeled off. also you need to do light coats first, then medium wet for the last coat.
Re: What did you do to your civic today?
Went with my buddy today to trade his s2k for a 93 eg w/ a fully built b18c5. Man shes a beaty. This thing is freaking fast too. Figured I'd show ya guys
Re: What did you do to your civic today?
I didnt like the throttle response I was getting from a stop, so I looked under the hood and saw the throttle cable is a tad loose. Adjusted it till it was slightly less then tense and took her for a test drive. Much better.

guess I need to pull the trunk and hood and primer/repaint completely. Maybe ill just pay for a paint touch up. I can build cars, but not good with body stuff That Dude with the Questions

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
Because his s2k was salvage title. He got a ridiculous deal on it when he first got it ($3500).
The eg is mint, and its been in a few magazines
It was a fair trade.

Finally got my parts in. Getting ready to install. Going from an Exedy Stage 1 Organic Clutch and ACT 11.9lb Streetlite Flywheel to a Competition Clutch Stage 2 Carbon/Kevlar Full Face Clutch and 8.8lb Ultra Lightweight Flywheel.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
You're a vet right? Just type in 5offfive for a 5% discount off everything. ACT gives yo a 15% discount, if you're interested in another flywheel. There are a few others, just look at their coupon codes.
I picked this set up for $434 shipped. There are comperable prices on eBay, but I didn't want to deal with two shipments. Good reviews on this setup from the 8th Gen crowd. I've always been a Exedy loyalist, but I wanted a full faced clutch for longevity. Exedy's Stage 2 is a multi-puck. Good bite, but kills durability/life. Good luck.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
Dude, I'm brutal to my car, regardless of power. Haha. On my third tranny, flywheel, clutch, master and slave cylinders. Redline and power shifting is a way of life. Hopefully this setup will endure the abuse. Drive it like you stole it.
