You guys do have better beer - and it's hard to improve on a good German beer. For such a small country, you guys have more varieties per capita than any other country in the world. I haven't tasted a bad Belgian beer yet!

looks sweet foos, I cant believe they gave you a dirty head. I dont think i would take any work back to a company that hot glued a rocker stud and gave me back a dirty head after fixing their problem.
that thing is going to scream when you done. congrats, i cant wait to see the numbers!!

Re: My Head is all Scratchy (Pg. 111) - The Speedfoos' Turbo Thread!!
hey cool foos i just started doing the head too..

The exhaust side was not relay flat so we did our work.
before: darker spots not flat.

After: smooth and flat.

De ARP bolts

remoaved the valves today.

look at the bad shape of the ports of a stock head.
they need work for sure.

hey foos make sure these dont leek you never know he.

Damn Ching, look at you go. You're building a monster there, that's for sure!

those exhaust ports on the p&ped head are big.
what size are they?
Looks like the valve guides are shorter too if you compare them.

Just for the record: I do not use strawberry shampoo, I use Nexxus.

I'll measure the exhaust ports in a little bit Ching, but yeah, they're pretty ****ing big. Smoothing out the head-to-mani transition should be easy enough, but I think the gasket may give a some grief. I may have to order another sheet of gasket material and just make a new one if I can't cut the metal one like I need to.
It looks like the valve guides were shaved to flow with the intake and exhaust chambers. That part of the PnP job appears to have been done well.

Yeah, she definitely loves the turbo a lot more than my wife does. That's the second time the seat has shot back on her!

I'm running between 9 - 9.75 right now until I swap the head out this weekend. Then I should be able to ratchet it down to 7 psi and still make the same amount of power.
