nice Clint, this is not the first time i have seen this from cheap altezzas, its actually pretty common, especially if u are using bulbs that are hotter than are intended for the car

Naw Tony, stockers were in my other garage, so they're back on the truck now. What's odd Adam is that those were stock bulbs, they were just closer together in the tezzas than they were in the stockers.
My lady (she just walked up and said momma was not cutting it) drove the truck to base and back this morning (about 25 miles) with no problems, woohoo! What's even better is my Evap Pressure System Too Low CEL has not come back on in the truck. Stock pump must not have been sealing on the tank which was throwing the CEL and may have also caused the early demise of the pump. IDK. This one works now and there is no more CEL. Now I just have to replace:
- all three O2 sensors
- front control arm bushings
- rear spring bushings
- tensioner pulley
Yay.

lol its too small of an enclosure, and heat gets trapped inside. combined with cheap thin plastics to save them money, and you have a pos.

Hey Tony, did you punch Chris in the junk for not answering any of my emails? Hope so...
Anyway, for the rest of you whiners, read or GTFO - you too Adam. Head is getting replaced when I get back home. That's why I bought the assembly lube. For when I jam it up your ***. Don't ever say I'm not a nice guy...
Naw, the lube is because when they fixed a stripped bolt on my PnP head, they left aluminum shavings all over the head. So now I have to wash the head out to flush all the **** out, and that's why there's a pic of my current assembly lube, and since I have to reply re-apply since that's a new cam in it.
Actually the 'tezzas looked halfway decent on my lady's truck as they looked similar to the stock Trailblazer/Envoy ones. But yeah, double filament bulbs + DRL + poorly designed tezzas = poop. They looked they had been heating up for quite some time. If I hadn't noticed when I did, there's a good chance it would have completely ****ed up the bulb sockets too.
Going out to eat now that I'm back in Berlin. Be on later kiddos.

Wow - my post looked like it had been written by a 4-year old. Edited now to add all the filler verbage. I need that Dragon Naturally Speaking software. Typing is for suckas.
Berlin is good, just got in this afternoon. I have spent quite a lot of time in this city, so much that it's almost like a second home for me. I'll be here through the end of the week. Work will be keeping me busy, but there's no better place in Germany to be, IMO.
