We have been waiting for the dyno for quite a long time now havent we???

The reason I pointed out that he is 20 is because of his BS statement about being around in motorsports since before AEM, JG etc. Which is just pure BS. Unless you could skateboards or bicycles as motorsports. But, I do agree that your age has nothing to do with horsepower. So the next time someone defends his products with an "I've been doing this since before blah bah blah..." speech rather than a simple dyno sheet you should be very worried.

AEM started in 1987 (thats 17 years ago for the math challenged) ==> http://aempower.com/about_aem.asp see the problem with his statement yet? well let me spell it out for you.

DHRacingJosh was 4 YEARS OLD when AEM started. What exactly about his statement was not bullshit?

Or do you believe his statement that he has been doing this since before AEM came around?

do you?

I don't (of course). I recognize that he was not telling the truth. Some would even dare to call it bullshitting. Others would race to his defence. Why? god only knows.
Oh and yeah, when you want to make a statement boldly calling me a liar, why dont you educate yourself before doing so. Aem started in 1987 yes, but if you go into their sales why don't you check what they were selling at that time, and how long it took them to make their first million or better yet, see how long it took them to get more then 5 employees. AEM was Established in 1987 well if you look at Abercrombie and see when they came out and then see the decades it took before you even heard their name, so yeah I was there into racing before AEM was anything more then a piece of plumbing pipe with a hacked up V8 filter on it. Don't try and get me in technicalities because you won't win. You obviouslly have nothing better to do then attack someone you can't afford to buy from. Sounds like some life, sorry you pulled me yet again into another fight on here, but I am not going to let someone bash my word, and call me on some crap like that. I was merely stating that I have been around, and know the industry and what it was all about. The way it came about, and how everything has evolved and circulated throughout the entire world. You can go statement to statement with me all you want. I have the knowledge and confidence in everything I say to do it all day, but the thing is I also have the self-control to let it go because this isn't worth my time, and you are just trying to get at my word because of something in your life you are upset about.

And thats the truth. Just because AEM started in 1987 doesn't mean that they were booming. It takes years before a company gets off the ground. Everyone will see a dyno soon. Hell, there will be a DYI on this soon too.

Dude amazing records you hold. And people like LSR that come and bash really have nothing better to do. Don't worry about it man, you are like the number one sales person on this site, you are getting a lot of business from here, with the exceptional *** who needs to get some anger out because he can't afford the products you offer.

I'll always support you, even though I woke you up one morning at 10. LoL.

enough said ! Josh you made a great come back. I think if you want to shut those "haters" out there, mine as well prove yourself and do a dyno. I know is hard for a busy company to do such a thing, but IMO if you want to shut up those guys up. The paper will prove it. This is only my suggestion. Thx for all the hard work on 7th gen civic.

cheer

(damn, those are some crazy record man !!!)

I agree completely....and at the same time I understand the nature of an overstatement. If I remember correctly, the "i have been in the business since before Aem" defense was in response to some mechanic. This mechanic, regardless of the possible repurcussions of ANY aftermarket performance part, told a member on this site that a DH Pulley would destroy his engine....so you kind of have to evaluate a vendor's rep and their integrity.

As a new member, I know that it's hard for me to trust someone who is selling a controversial part....I have no experience foundation to base trust on, so I have to base it on the opinions of others and the things that Josh says; as a result of that, I am very reluctant to pump my money into something which "shows substancial gains" but may threaten my mode of transportation.

By no means am I defending LSD...because...seriously man....you're thorough but you really should make a better case before you present it. In his defense, Josh made a slight overstatement....who gives a !@#$. There is a huge difference between a lie and an overstatement to get your point accross.

Well, Josh, impressive resume....congrats on making fat cash. Wish I was in your shoes right about now.

Yoyoio is right, those of us who aren't as farmiliar with you and your busniess may discount your word until we have done bussiness with you. A Dyno would speak for itself. It would give us solid proof rather than a few opinions. IMO, a dyno would light a fire under your "multi-million dollar business" and drive it that much further. It would shut the skeptical members the hell up and catch the eye of the everyday passerby.

anyways i'm still waiting for my spacer like everyone here, can't wait to put the pulley on and see how my car runs.

btw, mootlif, how come you decided to put the pulley on w/o the spacer? did your mechanics tell you that they could do it without one? just curious...
It didn't come in yet, and it didn't rub my sensor. The spacer isn't really needed, it's just for those of you who want to really be on the safe side. I'm probably gonna take it off and put it back on with the spacer though.

I'm still waiting on a couple more pulleys, and things have been so hectic I am trying to get these pulley spacers out to you guys, but it hasn't been easy. I should have a couple more dual grooves out by Monday I hope. Sorry man didn't want to keep you waiting this long.

Guys. Really all you need to do is know the size of the belt people are using. Then go to any auto store, and say "I need a 3 groove I believe ___ size alternator belt"

those are from i think page 18 of this thread

These are the belts. Its not as simple as going to any store for the dayco 350k6. The only place known to carry that is Pep Boys. I had to drive 45 minutes for it.

I work in a shop and tried every name car part store in town for the 350k6 and they all said it doesn't exist. Dayco is the only brand that makes it and they are sold only at Pep Boys.

I'm offering 50 points to the first member who posts a write up with legitimate before/after dyno charts showing torque and HP gains achieved from installing DH's dual groove pulley on a NA (i.e., non-turbo) EM2. Anyone else wanna add to this incentive? Dyno time is after all quite expensive, and legitimate test results would put an end (hopefully) to the continuing debate regarding the quality of DH's product.

I got both my belts from Pep Boys. Same brand too. Just find the belt size. You don't have to get a certain brand.

Im very interested in getting the dual-groove dh pulley. Im VERY new to this so please bear with me. What kind of wear and tear to the alternator am i going to have with this pulley. I am just concerned about it because I dont have the money to buy a new one and then my warranty is ****ed. Also, is there any negative effects to this? I just dont want to install it and then a week later my car isnt running. But if someone can PLEASE explain to me how this increases hp so i can show my dad(wont let me get it till i explain and prove to him). Thanks

Ok guys, I might need a little help here. I bought the belts, I know the 4 is right but the 6 I am questioning.

I got the Dayco 350k6 from Discount Auto Parts on a special order.....but.....it's a Poly cog, does that make any difference?

Also Josh, I think I have this timing thing down. Ok here goes my explination: The only reason why we want to mark when the #1 piston is at the dead top is because when we take it to go get dyno tuned, they know where the dead top is? So basically when I install this tommarow, I don't need to worry about timing, cuz no matter what it's goingt o be messed up?

Yes, meaning it wraps around more than one cog. Like this........
