Stick a screwdriver through the tranny case into the flywheel, won't hurt anything, and will definately keep it from turning. I recommend no less then a 36in breaker bar if you dont have a 600+ ft lb impact.

You have to get it from the bottom right? I have a 24 inch torque wrench, would that do it with the right amount of strength?
And you said as far as tigtening just to pull really ****in hard?
Ok well, tommarow once I get back from my exams I will be doign it. Hopefully I am succesfull.

Doesn't have to be rediculously tight, but with the torque wrench, crank that b**** Honestly I dont torque it to factory specs on mine, I crank it till I feel satisfied. Just something that goes along with doing it a lot

Update, my friend promised me to take car of it if your not able to get it to me by then. See the thing is, my dad can't know about it. LoL. Therefore, if I am not here, then he will get the package and that's a no no. Anyways, I will PM you with details.

You get at the pulley from underneath your car. Shave part of the cover off and just go at it. Be sure to have a lot of room to work with. I went under there today and realize I'ma have to lift it off the ground a good 2-3 feet so I'ma borrow my neighbors ramp.
As for the dad situation. Anything that makes my car faster is a no no. He wanted me to have an efficient vehicle to get me through college. So I asked, since I pay for half of the car, can I add half the stuff I want to......that was a big no. Anyways, I do al the stuff behind his back and he doesn't know anything. I was telling him that my "friend" will be getting a TB/Intake mani soon. He was like, you mean carborator?!? LoL. So old school he is!

So I guess he doesn't care about exterior mods then, cause your car has some good stuff on it. You just gotta go sleeper with the engine. Get mods that you can't tell are there.

As for the exterior. He likes it. But I can't talk him into a cf hood, i'ma buy a beat up one and paint it white so it's not to tacky looking on my car.

Well my friends teg with Rota Girds in GM and a carbonfiber hood looks great, but with my white wheels, it would through the whole "clean" look right out the window. LoL.

Yeah don't get the hood. It looks clean now as it is.
Oh and the timing cover has to be shaved for the pulley to have enough rotation clearance.

Meh. I think you need something better like a dremmel. Maybe it works. Only way to know for sure would be to try it.
This install is seeming more and more complicated as the days go by. There's worrying about how to keep the pulley from moving, triming cover, setting timing, and hoping it will work right after you're done.
And what happened to those spacers? I guess they take time.
Josh, any chance my ported head will be done this week? I hope so because I'm excited to get it installed and running.
Then I have to worry about tuning my car with VAFCII, and I don't have shops down here. Gonna have to drive and take a day off school and work or something. Well, those are my problems.
Anyone else installed this pulley yet? Of the two people who have, are you feeling any gain for sure?

Didn't he just say you stick it in the tranny case or something? Lol, I'm so confused. Someone who did this--can you give any info?
Someone else was saying that trimming the cover exposes the pulley to dirt and stuff. The cover may also break over time. OH WELL, right?
