Decided to do a diy and make my interior a little....darker. Being the perpetually broke college student that I am, my options were very very limited. But I managed.
Not bad for a novice ehh?
I also redid my headliner. It looks nice except for a spot where the glue bleed through a little bit. But I guess that's what I get for doing it the ghetto way.

Parked the Civic today. The only time it's gonna move is for test drives and the final drive away.
This is the new Civic:
Bought the parents' '05 LX with 70K miles.

That reminded me to check the ATF. Turns out dad never changed it! It still looks good but, has a VERY slight burnt smell. Have a friend that manages a tranny shop and I'll take it by and see what he says. This thing still runs and shifts like butter. Also, I can already tell it's not gonna be near as easy to work on as the Civic considering you practically have to move the battery to get to the transmission dipstick. lol

The dealer will not refill your crackpipe, the van is no longer in warranty.
Oddity owners just seem to have off the wall complaints and expectations (suburban white entitlement).
We get some of the biggest whiners crying about the sliding doors.
They eat up the center rollers, they bind when trying to slide them.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I made a funnel attachment out of a broken antenna that fits into that dipstick tube.
The real fill place for the ATF is a large plug on top of the trans case, right about under the master cylinder. 17mm hex head on it. 5 speed trans will hold around 3.5-3.75 quarts on a drain and fill.
Very few real problems with the trans itself so far, but many problems with TCC shudder.
First step is get signed up on Hondas ownerlink, then get to a dealer and run it for recalls and warranty extensions (IF your parents are the type to never ever go to the dealer).
There are many on 05 vans, see what applies to yours.
PM me the VIN, I'll see what I can find on it.

Budushka: I think the idea is nice, but I don't like that color scheme. Though you have given me and idea for when I start replacing more interior pieces. Never thought about that honestly.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
I got my A/C working perfectly after 3 years of "465 A/C". I recently rebuilt the compressor (some wiring needed repaired and the armature plate needed another shim/washer for proper clearance), put 120cc of Ester oil in it, put the compressor in there, put in a new drier-accumulator-receiver-filter (why does one part have so many names anyway?), had the system deep vac'ed and I recharged it at home with 21 oz of 134a. It's blowing cold, the low side is is like ice and the high side is scalding hot and the sight glass is clear. Just in time for August!

Today i plasti-dipped my tweeter shrouds so they would match the rest of the interior. I can never get the coat to be completely smooth, its always textured....any suggestions?

Maybe if you had a gallon and a paint gun, it'd come out a bit better.

All sold out
If we can get enough interest back into the idea, we'd order another batch

Re: What did you do to your civic today?
Yesterday Jane got a new T-Belt and water pump. I always say a prayer before starting the motor after the swap...
And she's Good to GO!
I also aligned the timing marks on the crank pulley and cam pulley AND used a Sharpie to mark the OLD T-belt and the pulleys (before I removed it). Once I transfered those marks to the NEW T-belt I just used the Sharpie marks on the pulleys for installation...
