(Damn I edit a lot of my posts, lol)
I don't like the ride on sleeved coilovers anymore. When I was that low, my car bottomed out like hell with my GCs to the point the ABS light came on. Not to mention, my ABS would kick in a LOT easier than before and the only thing that was preventing the brakes from locking up too easily was my 15 inch wheels and them being wrapped in S-O3s.

Yes, yes, yes, I know...JIC's are better, but hey...for the money/situation...THEY'RE GREAT!!!

What some people consider comfortable and performing varies. I think GCs IMO are geared towards comfort but that's my opinion. The bad thing about Koni is their shock length being the same as stock (meaning you can't expect the shocks to not bottom out at a certain lowered height) and unfortunately it's our only option for aftermarket springs & sleeved coilovers.

My adjustment? I added 3/4 of an inch of preload and the rear looks almost stock, so I raised the front, thus it's overall higher than the last pics I posed of my car. The car handles nice, but I like the feel and look of it when it's ACTUALLY lowered. If I had whatever VNlilman has in his trunk, in mine... I SERIOUSLY, HIGHLY, and SURELY 999.9% doubt that my car would be as low as his in the rear.
Although enjoying the ride - at this point, I'm still HIGHyame'd.

i wish i was high.. oh wait thats the 'yame' at the end doin there
slammed if you took off the preload and put it so there's barely enough just to keep the spring up, how low does it go? i doubt its the answer to the problem but you might have more preload than i.

well, looks like robearracing is not selling the hayames because they think its a "faulty" product.

When people had issues with HP's so called header, they lied about installing it on a M/T saying you could use an engine lift to get it on... they also were the ones who put the word out on the design change that never occured (which was supposed to better accomidate the M/T but the only change was a 02 bung hole on the header tube for DX/LX Civics). At least Hayame ain't lying if this is the case.
Bah... I just wanna know the difference between these springs. I have a friend with Hayames and I dunno if he'd be willing to do a comparison since he didn't have issues with his.

I'm not. I just wanted to show you guys why Robear isn't selling them. I know someone was asking why aren't they selling them.
Sorry I haven't been on here lately, I have been SWAMPED. Just wanted to let everyone know I'm still alive and still all over Hayame making sure they don't forget about the issues you guys are having with the rear springs.

Thanks, good to hear you are still trying to clear this up for us.
In particular I am looking to make sure I have the correct numbers on my springs before I install them.

In fact, UrbanImport... because of that, I seriously look forward to my new set of rear Hayames. (EDIT: Providing he has nothing heavy in his trunk!)
I can't wait to be slammed again. Lately I've been going over speed bumps at like 25MPH... (those wide ones). So this is to whoever was asking how fast you could go over speed bumps. Just go.
Today, the funniest thing happened to me. My car caught air going about 70+MPH over this steep hump in the road. I couldn't stop laughing afterwards... I did a "Fast And The Furious".
The car landed smooth as butter.... it wasn't too high like in the movies.

Im sure he will post as soon as he knows....he is not the type of guy to keep everyone waiting..so just chill and waitm, he will update us..
i've been keepin up with this thread and i gotta say, its been a roller coaster ride. haha. the timeline is priceless. the first 15 pages everybody gets all hyped and orders em and its like the invention of the wheel all over again(VN coulda wrote a book with as many times he tried to explain how to adjust the 3 locks!). then slammed has issues and all of a sudden things come out of the woodwork and the next 15 pages kids get all depressed and worried if they made the right decision. now its just mass confusion. i love it.
Ever have that feeling that once you get a product in the mail, this feeling says you're gonna have an issue with it once you start installing it? I had that happen to me when I was installing the rear Hayame's but forgot about it during the install... and remembered it after all the frustration passed.
Oh yeah, cdub604, there better not be anything in your trunk.
If not, then I declare this issue fixable and Hayame coilovers will get my 99% approval. Will be 100% once I install them for myself.

i get that feeling everytime i have other people work on my car. i'm so picky tho i can always find something that doesnt agree with me 100%. i just feel like dudes at shops just want to rush through everything and get their money. i hate that ****. thats why i do everything myself that i can, and try to figure out install on new things i want to buy before i make a purchase. thats actually why i read all 40 pages of this thread. haha

If we got the wrong springs that match the selected strut for it, what exactly is being replaced? The spring? Or the entire rear spring and strut? Aren't these springs supposed to be matched for their own selected strut?
Can you tell us the difference between these two different rear springs? All we know is that the people who don't have issues use the same springs as the RSXs. I want to know what that means.
How soon do you want us to send our rears in?

I hadn't checked this thread in several weeks, I freaked out when I read the complaints since I have a set of Hayames in my closet waiting for install. Luckily, it turns out I got the right springs.
IMO, Robear Racing's excuse over "quality issues" doesn't explain why they are not selling them anymore. The only issue I've read about in this thread is the incorrect rear springs - a simple visual inspection of the spring part number is all that would need to be done prior to shipment.
Urban Import is pretty straight-up and eager to help his customers. I'm sure that as soon as Hayame gets the springs, you'll get them slammedblueEM2. The only thing that was a disappointment is that I didn't receive my promised free set of headlight bulbs. I didn't complain - but I was disappointed...
