quick question cause i didnt want to read thru the whole thread.....i bought these for my 01 ex, will they fit on the 02-03 si hatch ??
Mike...
How about some details on this "fix"? Can you get some details on what exactly it's gonna be? If it's taken this long for Hayame to do some R&D then it's more than the springs.

THE COILOVERS ARE IN.
If you have an order with us they will ship this afternoon from Hayame. We have more than enough to cover all of the backorders so if you have not already placed an order we have extras.
IF YOU ARE A PREVIOUS URBAN IMPORT CUSTOMER WHO IS HAVING AN ISSUE WITH THE REARS:
Hayame will be replacing the rears with this batch as well. Unfortunately my Outlook crashed last week and I lost the emails from the customers who were having issues. Please email me again (with your order # or method of payment, aproximate date you ordered, phone # and shipping address). My email address is michael@urbanimport.com
Again I am VERY sorry for all the customers who have been waiting on the coilovers and those waiting for rear replacements, now that the kinks have been resolved hopefully supply won't be an issue in the future.
To place an order for the $650 shipped price please give me a call at 919-383-4605 or order over our website at www.urbanimport.com and enter coupon code "hayameGB".

Slammed I hope that will fix your problem. Are they going to replace the whole rear strut or just the springs? With just a little bit pre-load I can only have 1.5 finger gap. Wonder if this batch will fix that? Keep us update Slammed!

An update....
First of all, I have to say that Noah from SPW (Hayame's American distributor) was VERY helpful with helping me exchange my Hayame's. Yes, SPW must be contacted for the exchange. He claims the coilovers will be here this Friday so I will be posting my review sometime next week. I'm quite anxious to receive them finally. It's a little sad to see that it seems like the Hayame hype has now died down.
Since this thread is completely whored and outdated, my little review will be in another thread. I hope the people who had the wrong rears like I did went on and contacted SPW/Hayame so they can get their suspension replaced. It's been a long wait but it eventually came. Gotta say that Mike from UrbanImport has been awesome the entire time and I hope I can do business with him again.

gonna take at least a week to get result, be patient =)
I hope they are fixed. Even though my problem is not as bad as slam, but still it suppose to go lower. I bet the problem is not the spring but the strut. I can't wait for your review. If they fixed it I would contact them asap.
zDs03Civic just give it one more week. I may sell this and get D2 because of the adjustable damping. Would you be interested? Of course I will get the rear taken care of b4 selling (I can probaby install them for you free of charge since you ain't that far from me)

How low do you wanna go? Somehow I managed to make my current Hayame's a bit lower (taking off pretty much all preload) and kept strut travel, but it still wasn't low enough for my taste. On the other hand, if anything these new ones should go lower but there's only one way to find out... so stay tuned.
I have like 1mm of pre-load and I still have 2 and half fingers gap in the rear. I want like 1.5 finger gap just like the front. I have the correct springs thats why I don't have as bad as the problem as you. I tried just putting a very little preload and the car rode like hell. Still with that, I couldn't get lower than 2 fingers gap. I hope they really fix it, can't wait for the result =)
I can't tell the difference in ride quality unless the preload is either absurdly high or not even there. On the contrary, if you're basing my height from the pics I last took, that's when I had preload on them. I don't know how much of a finger gap I have because it's an inacurate way of measuring ride height. But if I were to finger my car (lol) I'd say in the rear now I have about 2 fingers of a gap based on where the preload is setting now (which is up only enough to hold the spring in place). Probably due to me raising the front of the car so much as well.
It's been weird. I've always had my ride height set with the rear a bit higher than the front. Recently I went from a pair of 205/55/15s to 205/50/15s (on the rear only) now and in the rear there was more wheel gap but the car looked level. Then I put the 50s on the front and the wheel gap is bigger in the front although the car is a bit closer to the ground in the front. Because of that I've wanted to lower the front more but I've been too lazy. Probably should've stuck with 55s cuz I'm scraping my cat! converter! Today I should be getting my last two 205/50s for the rear so the car won't look all odd.
The 205/50s look a bit better overall. I've always believed that basing your ride height on your tire's profile matters. A slammed car on fat stock tires (01-03s) looks horrible but once you get low profile tires, dump it to the ground. Your wheels will thank you.
There's gonna be lots of pics coming soon to get a better understanding.

yea cuz the tires are a bit more skinnier thats why. I know it isn't accurate but it will give you a rough estimate on how much I want to lower the car. It sounds like I also have the rear strut problem but I will give a few days to see if they fix that problem.
There is a diff b/c a 1cm pre-load to a 1mm pre-load. You can feel the car is much more bouncier with less pre-load(i have all strut bars + type-s sway with ES bushing, maybe thats why)
zDs03Civic B&G is a good choice. Make sure you get the v2 or it will take forever to adjust the height. I dont know how much I want to sell it, give me a reasonable offer. I have it for about 3 months.

All I want to do is slam the hell out of my car. Maybe Neuspeed Race springs would solve my problem...but I hear you have to roll your fenders with them if you want to correct your camber. Is this true?
Never heard of someone needing to roll their fenders for Neuspeed Race. On the condition that the camber is improperly set, as well as the size tire the car has (most likely 215 in width), you might need to do some adjustments that don't require rolling the fenders. If one wanted to keep their alignment at near 0 camber, that'd be another reason why the tire would hit the fender well if it was low enough.
If this fix does what it supposed to do, I wouldn't be afraid to say Hayame's go lower than B&Gs, but we'll see.
