hahaha I started replying to the post then the doorbell rang.. I'm like a kid in a candystore right now. Dang I so want my car back - time to call the bodyshop.. weeeeee. Back to question -
May 7th trip/meet
I know I'm going, I'm 75% certain FaZe (and a passenger) are going down .. BeLowMe is trying to sort things out - wants to make it a longer weekend trip for himself .. apart from that, the question would go out to everyone else
Though it should be noted that to make it to TO around noonish (with a small stop in between to join up with the Ottawa crew) that its going to be an early departure on Saturday (May 7th).

I'm heading down toronto most likely on Friday night. If I can't leave (if my passenger has to work that night) I'll join up with Karumba + Ottawa crew for early Saturday.
Anybody heard of D2 Coilover system?

To bump another meet-up location - courtesy of CCQ :
Hopefully SUPERFLY and keep people posted if this meet gets postponed again or not (looks to be rain for Wednesday )
I still would like to go - unfortunately, I'm now waiting a new front bumper (I so told them it needed a new one rather than repairing that one
) and my car is only expected at best on Wednesday morning. So assuming, like normal, nothing goes as planned with the shop - I'll only get my car back around Friday
In any event, shouldn't stop others from meeting up. It is a little away from Montreal
, but seriously not the end of the world. I'd go, but honestly don't want to drive either of my parent's corollas that much
Might if I'm bored on Wednesday (if its still on)
This a link to the location of the Home Depot as I found it through Yahoo Maps

310$ for used side skirt? is he really in the good price range? If yes, I think I will forget my idea to put some on my car!
Maybe the headers are well-priced... but does it worth to put some on the DX/LX engine? Faze did you see a difference with this upgrade?

The headlights are still decently priced - as long as the eyelids didn't damage the cover. The taillights are as well decently priced - but depends on the wear as he described them. Course he might actually make a better sale with a cheaper price
As for the kits - well yes and no. Yes if they are in pristine condition and for a SSM car - but that'd be like asking if its new and just painted
That price is definitely not that cheap for the items, but it is urethane (or should be) and a lot more durable than fiberglass. The hood is about right (probably still a little high) again as long as there are no evident chips/cracks in the fiberglass- and you don't mind the CF being painted SSM.
The pricing is basically high across the board, but I'm sure if it doesn't go through one could always e-mail him with a lower offer
As for the DX/LX headers, you should see a performance upgrade as you would eliminate one of the cats in the exhaust system. Though you'd need to buy an O2 sim to bypass a CEL.

Is it bolt-on on the stock exhaust??? I asume that it's better to change for an aftermarket to see the best gain, but in case somebody want to upgrade step by step....

I believe it bolts right now .. I'm sure those that have changed it might be better suited to tell you
How's the day for everyone else? Miserable pissing rain day .. no meet for ccq but I'm sure there will be. Kinda don't even want to pick up my car tonight because of the rain, but said its going to be ready
Anyone here hit up that Dorion Stereo Plus meet? Looks like a couple of 7ths in the pictures I've seen..

I found that, some kind of OEM body kit for a civic si (veloz???). but he's asking 1000$... take a look! Seems to be eternal blue according to the pictures (actual kit???). http://www.lespac.com/search/detail....ffre=t&etatb=t

1000$? Sure might be blue and all but dang thats expensive for a kit. Though doesn't look like a veloz kit, seriously would need larger pieces to determine. Sure, I guess it depends really on how good the condition is and honestly how much repainting a kit would cost but thats overpriced imo. Heck, thats like buying the kits off that eBay auction (though not color matched to blue)... Registered!!

The OEM Kit (Veloz)
The OEM Aero (optional Honda equipment) (pictured on Lespac)
I find the front/side Aero really hot, but the rear is nasty.

No point in having the header if you don't have the exhaust to go with it.
However the stock Cat (built-in to header) of an LX is EXTREMELY restrictive.
BTW, if you intend on purchasing that header, consider buying an aftermarket exhaust and weld on a high-flow cat. (The fine for running a straight pipe is huge)
My setup:
Kamikaze Header/5zigen catback/hi-flow cat
I feel the difference for sure (alot less now since I got used to it)

Let's help a regional member out with some info
--
I unfortunately don't know the good hotels from the others. Sure can probably go by name but well maybe someone else can help. Could help if you knew your price-range / location placement desires I suppose.
As for the Montreal to Quebec distance question - I'm leaning towards ~3hrs, depending on traffic really. Though I've never done the trip, should be doing it soon though so we'll see

Man! Mtl-Qc it's around 250km of road to do!!! That mean that your average speed was around 200km/h!!!! You did that on a bike or what???
92 EG hatch, it was my dad's, I ''borrowed'' it to go see my girlfriend in Qc. city. The cluster was slightly unpluged to prevent the milleage from adding up but once in a while I had to reach and plug it to see fuel level. It was funny to see the rpm's and speed go from dead zero to +/- 205 near rpm cut-off. In that hour 10 min. I even stopped for gas. It was about 4 a.m., only me and big rigs on hway 20, w.o.t. all the way home.

I brought mine to 200-201 KPH. I didn't hit the lemiter but I don't think the car had enough power to go faster, after that point. I've passed 180 many times.
But now I'm trying to be responsible so no more speeding.
