To get a feeler, you could go to a shop and ask .. because it really depends on your intended use for them and stuff.
And not looking for the sarcastic reply of "Well driving on them for starters" .. intended meaning.. daily commuter/reliable, or track ready/aggressive driver.. etc etc etc etc

Depends what kind of ride you want, I have pretty good advice when it comes to tires since i have been through 5 sets. I started with Avid H4 (Yokohama) all season/performance they were quiet and decent. Then moved on to the Proxes FZ4 (Older model) they were decent on dry tracking but sucked horribly in wet. I then bought the Yokohama AVS ES 100 and I really liked them they seem to last longer than the others and were awesome in the rain overall a good tire in almost every category (quiet tire). Then I went for something to drop my 0-60FT times for drag and bought myself some Kumho Mx's for my hatch, they stick really well when dry but in the rain they're a lil iffy but you should be good if you don't drive too stupidly
. Now i'm running Falken Azenis RT-215 they're great for dry and seem to grip a lil less than the mx on drag/launch but they make up for it in the turns. They have shitty hydroplanning but if it's wet with no puddles they grip well but they are also a loud tire.
I would say look into the AVS ES 100, Toyo T1-S and so of those competitors. It would help if you could say what you wanna use the tire the most for. Longetivity, track, noise, etc...

I'm pretty sure the es100 has better treadwear than the mx's. The mx's if not mistaken have a treadwear of 200 can't exactly remember the tread on the es100's. I'm pretty sure the es100's would last longer than the mx's but then again the mx's grip more. If you drive your car alot and I think you do cuz i always see ya around I would go with the avs es 100 I think it's a better tire overall.
No problem anytime.

Did you check out these guys.
I bought my winter tires from them

What's the tire size your looking?
I see the newer civics come with better tires. I saw bridgestone Potenzas on the civic coupe instead of the usual firestones.

Will .. well he basically never checks the boards anymore. You might catch him on MSN every once and a while.. might get a few words from him a couple nights but he's busy mainly with summer classes.

I'm thinking about 2 options to crave my need for speed and adrenaline. Either sell the civic, buy a RSX-S and go lapping once in a while, or keep the civic and buy a 125 c.c. kart. The 2nd option so far sounds best to me.
Trying to get more power out of a D17 is like trying to extract tomato juice out of a carrot.
Here's a video of a few laps at Sanair during a lapping event last saturday. I couldn't race the civic due to the head gasket. At least I had a few laps in the passenger seat, what a rush, Sanair is a fast track.

No, I do not intend to participate in any GTO or GTU event, I'll never have such a race ready track purpose car. But I will, probably next summer, take lessons from a liscenced very talented driver. *cough* Alex @ NoRedline *cough*

Wee bumping a dying thread
So SUPERFLY, come to a decision or still thinking it over and over?
to BeLowMe's new photos - Got White?
So people want to bump the closed poll thread for a meet .. leaning towards Aug 20 ( dang so far away
) .. so well, let's start a small discussion.. where, when, what kinda discussion
As for other impromptu meets of the sort, if someone
would have asked/reminded others might have gone. Basically be Wednesday nights at the MontrealRacing.com west island meet. Though its also a possibility that I stop in at a CCQ Wednesday night meet in Boisbriand..
we'll see what happens.
Last before I forget .. anyone ever driven to Chicago before? Any best routes to take rather than the obvious one(s) posted by Mapquest, etc etc ??

I NEED YOUR FULL ATTENTION!
Here's the deal.
I need 2-3 good looking 7th gen Honda civic SIR's for a Honda Nation commercial shoot in Mtl. next week. If possible other than black, body kit, drop, wheels, bling welcome.
This is serious and I must have the pictures of the interested people's cars by this coming thursday 11/08. 1 front view, 1 side view, engine and back view. Also list mods please.
This is a unique chance, let me know in this post if you can or know somebody who could.
We are also looking for any model civic with an air suspension.
How much money you will get paid will only be discussed with candidates by p.m.
Thank you.
