I think I've gotten so used to it that I'll let you know how much I'm complaining when it comes to winterize the car. No way I want to keep the Teins on during that white fun stuff so yeah.. I have no complaints of the upgrade - since greasing the coilovers and losing the squeaking so yeah....

The producer is in need of 5-6 nice 7th gen civics for the shoot in Mtl. next week. Colour needs to be pale, no black or dark blue, sorry, the commercial will be filmed at night. Stock cars not accepted.

jt_scuderia@hotmail.com for more info.

I guess when you winterize you'll be on a cushier tires, and not the performance low pros.

I was checking the tein site and the rear springs are stiffer than the front on the tein ss and basic. That is a nice set-up for handling on our FWD drive cars. Thats what I read on the forums not from my personal experience.

215/45 are cushy .. ask Vis as he upgraded to that size and needs to roll his fenders because of it

And well .. all full coilovers available are stiffer in the rear than the front for our car .. probably the reason you stated..

Back are always a bit stiffer than front to compensate for the motor as well. .

Ghetto way .. taking a pipe/baseball bat and rolling over the spot. More "professional" way would be slightly heating up the fenders and doing pretty much the same I watched slightly as Trac did mine through the window.. but well I get bored easy so continued walking as I waited for my car

Ya exactly , the baseball bat method works but the advantage of doing it at a shop is they'll heat up the paint so it becomes more flexible. It's a fragile job somewhat but I didn't have problems (did mine at lazer auto suprinsingly A+ job). So if anything happens blame it on them .

Just don't screw up your fender before the commercial shoot.

Its about 40 minutes away. Depends really how bad the traffic is on the 13 or 15 or in between those two highways on the 40 .. Assuming you are either coming from downtown and/or near your place - fastest way I'd say, would probably be the 15 north to the 440 ouest to the 13 north then the 640 ouest. Exit #11 for RT-148 (Arthur-Sauve). Then look for the big billboard for the race track (you don't see a sign for TRAC exactly.. but go down that long hilly road and then turn left at the warehouses/garages and head to the end.

If you want someone to tag along or something you can hit me up at the moment. Haven't been called in yet for work so I'm free sadly. Need to seriously solve that fact though.

Should be fine for a good while .. though nothing is guaranteed on the work - as they've probably told you. My paint started to show the stress lines after a month or so.. nothing major really but well its a little thing that makes me slightly

And now for something completely different,
If anyone feels up to adding to the small amount of cars that show up for a meet - we'll be a few at the Kirkland Colisee around 8pm. Technically its a Montreal Racing meet but I do believe most of us are part of both boards anyways

Just take the 13 trust me, almost every day I used to top out my hatch. Less traffic, less cops.

I actually think I've seen more cops on the 13 than on the 15 .. specifically around the first underpass off the bridge onto Laval (or last one before the bridge). But yes, the 13 often has a lot more running room. Its all a matter really of how it looks when you are leaving. I know most don't listen to AM, but 940 can be helpful every 10 minutes for that - basically gotten to be a godsend while at Hertz as it doesn't pay all that well to sit in traffic

^exatly, it's cheaper to boost the d17, but the K20a2 has alot more potential!

Now now .. let's not get into a major fight or anything. But well, sure turbo would be cheaper. K20aX swap would more than likely be more reliable long term therefore could turn out to be cheaper in the long run.

Jim, I mentioned the Honda Nation spot to a driver I saw on the road today. I don't know if he will contact you or not but here's to hoping  His car fit the bill well too - 01-03 SSM, kitted (looked like Aero), rims, exhaust, TYC black tails and heads, looked to be lower as well. Now if only I knew who that was

Pffft k20's are over rated it's all about the 2.0L B.... A pic is worth a thousand words (does that apply here?)

Oil change

Ok... it's time to change my oil.

I used to buy some Mobil 1 0w20 (replacement for Honda 5w20) at walmart or CDN tire, but strangely I am no longer able to find this grade on their shelves...

What type and grade of oil are you guys using? and most importantly where do you get it???
