Just pick up a used AEM V2 intake for really cheap.
I need a new filter before installing it. The one that came with it seems to have been diped in tar!!!
I have a 3" at home almost new, but the V2 is 3.5"
It's my fifth intake this year...
(OEM, AEM CAI, OEM modified, Cosmoracing SRI, now V2).

Yes, winter handling does suck Pat .. I seriously hate it. I want the comfort and control of summer back
Maybe I should move.....
Fifth intake??!? I haven't even changed from the first
Though everything else with the car pratically has.. oh well, to each their own right?
Care to enlighten why you kept changing though?

OEM: Well, the car came like this!
AEM CAI: Loved it, but I am travelling a lot on Decary or Metropolitain. Every time it's raining, there is a flood... I was afraid to hydrolock. I though to buy a bypass valve, but decided to sell the CAI instead.
OEM modified: After the CAI, I just replaced the filter box, and removed the resonator. I put a piping going from the front of the car to the filter box... Well it looks like ****, not more sound, no noticeable gain but noticeable decrease!!!... so I put back all the OEM stuff!
CosmoRacing SRI: I was kind of missing the sound of the CAI intake when I pushed the car. So I decided to buy a cheap intake. There is not much gain to obtain from an intake on our D17 anyway... so I bought this low priced intake. It improoved the sound of the car, but not as the CAI did, so I was a little bit disappointed. The way it is designed it was hiting my strutbar (neuspeed), so it was also bugging me. The Temp sensor was too short, so I was not able to position the intake to stop hiting the bar. It is a good SRI for somebody without a neuspeed bar...
AEM V2: While surfing MTLracing, I saw this used V2 for fairly cheap. So I decided to take a chance and buy it. For now I am happy with it (and I am tire to test intake!!!). I feel some gain (placebo?), not a huge amount of max HP, but I guess I gain some troughout the RPM range. But I am not impressed by the sound it makes, it is quieter than the SRI but a little bit deeper.
So that's it... I have a CosmoRacing SRI for sale with a 1 month old AEM filter on it!

Hey now.. I have no complaints with my Teins
but well numerous people on this board stated that the S-techs sag in the rear especially for sedans.
We'll see what plans I work out for the future of this car .. I'm still so undecided...

Personally, I was going to buy Steve's prokit for my car, but according to some people on this site, they will sag on a sedan... so I decided to postpone my drop for now. Maybe a Neuspeed kit, at least they have some springs specially designed for sedan

Were can we find that steve's prokit and how much does it cost.
Neuspeed cost how much?
I'd like my drop to give me 2 fingers in my fenders... May be i wouldn't need a fully adjustable susension...Any way, we got 6 month to find the best thing.

Those parts for sale on Lespac are from Revolution scrapyard in St-Jerome (which is basically a north shore equivalent of Chassel)

But, even here it's pretty quiet.

So Karim, How is your Headlight/taillight sale going?
Why are you leaving the toasted taillight look? Problem with some cops? I was thinking to slightly smoke (2 tints lighter than you!!!) a pair of taillight... I like the way some old VW Jetta and Golf's taillights look, just a bit darker than OEM.
I saw some black altezzas for sale on MR.com, that can be perfect for that... what about your red altezza? Are they fixed or not? if not, can they be easily fixed?

I guess that the new 2006 will have a lot of problem to fix as the 2001 had... the 2007 will be better.

Though the blacked out tails aren't even the greatest in the winter - as they get salted over which only helps to light them up
Basically you want to do a moreso tint like Jamie has on his coupe.. which looks probably better anyways

My reds are fixed as can be.. I siliconed the chip back. Currently riding around with them. The damage is noticeable regardless, but well its from the top (just near the edge of my spoiler - driver side) .. probably should take another photo of that as well it was asked about to.. but yeah, thats like getting me off my lazy behind.. kinda like I should be updating that thread as well as adding in the HP H26 header/downpipe that is sitting idle too.
