MONTREAL area: General Discussion
When's the next meet? My car should be ready on saturday, I just can't wait anymore, breaking in the clutch will be torture, 800 km. without flirting with the cut-off is gonna be difficult... Now who's got an SI that I can whip at Napi to really see the difference between the D17 back in november and now?
Why is my vagina bleeding?

my car is completely stock I'll even be putting back my stock wheels.
You got rid of the cut-off? Did you change your pistons and stuff?
Why do you have to break in the clutch is it to preventing glazing?

Thanks Vis and Nindoo - you are correct
Great pictures
.. gladly take the high-res from you. Here's a link to those that don't see the other pictures: FiRST MoNtreal PIcs M33t!!!--WinTer MoDE
I'm sure there will be other meets - I don't think anyone had problems with yesterday's. Though I think a couple of us want to hold off and get into summer mode, but if not I'd still be up for it. I wrote to a member that posted on mr.com about their ep3 meet - to buddy up basically, we'll see what he says.

Next meet should be during the day... I am just able to recognize BelowMe white civic and Karumba cosmo blue light on the pics! All the others civics look black !
Do we have an audio king with us?
I want to change my pseudo-sub for something better... I am presently using the 8" amplified subwoofer Koss from Crappy Tire!
I bought that when I was a poor student 5 years ago!
I am presently looking for a small kit just to put more bass in the car instead of the Koss distorsion! But, I dunno nothing about sub!
I am looking for a low priced used system. What should I look for? 10" 12"? Which brand? Where should I look to find it: MR? CCQ? other???. Is it crazy to think I can invest only 200$ max?
Any help will be appreciated!

No ice for me atm .. but thats because I haven't invested into it yet - woohoo slower for me (like I really think my auto is fast
)
On another note - Chassel told me they have the full veloz kit in either black or silver atm ($600) .. they do not sell parts separately, and have no 04/05 bumpers .. heck the only 04/05 they had on the lot was mangled both front and rear (only recognized it as 04/05 as the headlight was placed in the interior.

But as I said, I am not looking for a contest-grade system, just to add a little good bass in the car

As for your question 03AzNsIlvaSeDaN - I asked already, and yes - though I did not ask about residence (but I think I know where .. just don't want to say (delivered to him with old job- Domino's) unless it was a friend's place)
I went to the Kirkland Auto Center (old Volkswagen dealer on St-Charles) to check out some wheels in person and noticed a red 04/05 coupe parked nearby. WW G5 sides and rear, aftermarket rims, tint, with some sort of windshield decal (- didn't get out as the weather discouraged me). Anyone else seen it about?

Hey Steve, if you're the car with the chinese writing on the side .. then I parked really near you at Concordia...

As for other shock options, no true knowledge here - I'm sure you can easily search the site and come up with loads of information. I heard Koni was the best, and was just looking to get the best.. now I'm just rethinking things altogether. So tempting me right now to just forget this path and go back to the original idea of upgrading to full coilovers... decisions decisions
I'm freaking confunsed too man. Its possible that you don't need the camber kits and the alignment shop can set your alignments so that you don't have any toe. There will be negative camber, but there a certain threshold within which there is no tire wear because of camber. But alignments do effect performance, so camber kit would be better. Tires don't come cheap might as well, investing in a camber kit and avoding the hassle, might provide some peace of mind.

Well........i guess we all seem to know one/another here in the west island. Is there any meets in the workings? Weather is supposed to be nice for the next little while.......About the shocks, i know the best are Koni Yellows but i cant spend 1100 for just shocks, i might as well go for full coilovers, like Karumba said.

We've been chatting here and MSN a bit so we know we each, but we've only had the one meet-up for the time-being. As for other meets, since others are asking .. Meets I am considering going to include:
EP hatch meet - Sunday April 24 - Laval 11am
Stereo Plus - Tuesday April 26 - Dorion 8pm
Honda-Tech meet - Saturday May 7 - Kitchener, Ontario ~2pm [Unless the Gen7 meet finalizes (and leaves doors open to 7thgen)]
Bunch more of Ottawa's 7thgen weekly meets - Fridays ~7pm
Course for other Montreal area meets, thinking about eventually checking out a Julep, LaFleurs and possibly a P-Town (Pincourt) meet
Possibly a CCQ meet - as hopefully SUPERFLY or shaiitake will let us know about them

Lastly, for any meet-ups of here - someone could take the proverbial ball and run with it
