saturday morning bump!

k guys i need ur help
im going crazy i dont know what kit to get
here's my problem, idont know what to get
which one should i buy?
1 carbon fiber mugen lip ----->375$
1 pair of oem style side skirt (abs plastic)-----> 250$
or 1 pair of xenon side skirt (polyurethane)------> 300$
or full lip kit from kaminari (polyurethane) ----->1200$
or if i want the kaminari side----> 400$

so which mix should i get?

at first i wanted mugen cf front lip + oem style side + no rear
but the problem is that the side are in abs plastic

second choice was mugen cf lip + xenon
there's only 50$ difference for the oem and the xenon but xenon are urethane
but i doubt it will look good

third choice is the full kaminari lip kit
but its expensive

help me out guys
im open to suggestion
if u have any other mix i could do
ex: mugen + bc2 side
or full bc2 kit
maybe the full buddyclub2 kit but the only problem is thats its fiberglass!

My car is getting a beating this winter
Gotta repaint my hood/rear bumper/readjust the fitment/and compound it once the salt/snow is gone.

Installed my ViscousTech.com Short Shifter Kit! WOW.... WoW.... buy-it guys!

Now remember, this decision is all personal choice. Though honestly if you want a bigger input/opinion base, post up in Member's Rides..

The mugen front is a nice clean lip and a great choice.
As for the sides, I'd easily agree urethane > ABS > fiberglass, but is it worth it for the look Personally I'd go with the OEM Aero sides (probably more expensive than you posted) out of the choices here. Or if you'd like another simple/clean look you could think about Tsunami side skirts. The Xenon's look like they'll clash - as it is an agressive looking kit, compared to the front. The Kaminari sides look good, only concern I'd have for them with you would be pitting in the winter time. (Jer2k, a member from Niagara region, has them and has that complaint - snow/ice/salt/etc gets lodged in its hole/design.)

Are you going to leave the rear stock though or throw a lip there as well - asking before it doesn't look like it, unless you go the full kaminari set-up? Also, the side (and/or rear) painting those white to match or ?

Some advice, probably throw some more after I think about it more - it helps not thinking about ones own car

Good to hear - glad to see someone has good willpower Now keep it up and save that money - cause it looks like you'll need to spend it fixing the winter driver Though thats probably the case with all of us driving our cars during the winter - probably worse with your darker color than ours (though I'm not far off <- and I almost think my father scratched the roof of my car again with his old snowbrush when he borrowed my car (for some reason he couldn't find mine under the seats ), need to get her cleaned and look for myself properly - hopefully it was just salt/snow )

Personally, I'd go not carbon.. Though it would be a tough decision. I mean you do have cf going for you with your hood, its just the sideview of your car wouldn't flow that well in my mind. Again, it is your decision - do what you feel you like the most.

On a side note, as I don't recall asking - perhaps I have What tint level do you have going on your windows (and if low - any problems)?

Have fun stirring on the dilema Course your other post looks to be leaning one way as well.. Remember, it is your decision - as it is your car.

30 you say.. guess then I'm near a good ballpark. Though I wonder if it'll look bad switching intensity from front to rear (4dr).. hmms.. I'll stir on this some more (course I need to get the windows changed first )

Crower is working on it I think, but NoRedline needs no help, he's the best when it comes to cams in Canada.

Okay, let's get some local opinions - as my head is getting a headache on thinking about things..

Fast Wheels - decent wheels not prone to dinging/bending/etc (as we all know our wonderful streets ) or get what you pay for? Thinking about the Infernos, but well not sure of their reputation - know they are a local manufacturer but

205/45/17 or 215/45/17 ? 205s would be the ideal match for oem upgrade, however 215 would offer somewhat more protection .. yes there would probably be a drop to compensate and that goes to the next question..

What kind of drop? Basically are shocks + springs good enough, or (basic) coilovers are where its at? (Basic meaning the lower full coilovers (B&G/Tein Basic/.. - not like the Omni, Tein SS/Flex, Progress, ...)

Lastly, before I forget again ..
Which bodyshops have you gone to/would recommend going to? as I doubt I go back to mine - seeing how some paint flaked off today in the car-wash

Oh I know people who ride on 17s .. but I'm just trying to gauge the reputation of that one company.

As another question, any reason you went with 215 rather than 205 ?

Larger tire, more patch, doesn't rub on 215's anyhow.

closest to OEM and more tire. which is why i'm going with 16s and 205/55/16 this year. want more tire for comfort and the weight of the rim should compensate for the tire size and not throwing off my speedo.

I was thinking of getting some of these to put on my 2004. The front and rear bumpers have some kind of "pseudo-lips", but the side are plain and naked... I was looking to get something that can match, but 250$ for 2 skinny piece of plastic (OEM style), is way too expensive for me! Maybe I'll look for used one... anyone have that for a 4 doors?

By the tire calculator on the site, 205/45/R17 would be the closest to OEM .. 215/45/R17 would throw the reading off by 1.62% (it would be reading slower). Not that much of a difference ..

Meh, I'm probably looking/thinknig about it all wrong - as I'm not taking into account the changing widths .. 17x7 is going on rather than 17x8 as stated in the calculator .. so that would adjust the figures slightly.. Okay, enough over thinking - thanks for the opinion Xenin

Nice buy .. makes me jealous - especially since I want one for my automatic As for Automotion, yeah I'm going there for a quote at least - wanted some other opinions.

Not unless he goes to get it reflashed at a garage that is capable of doing so.. easiest "legal" way of incorporating it would be to get a door-jam sticker stating both odometer readings.

Automotion speaclize in insurance claims, so they might be expensive.

I remember this place called zeeks in LaSalle.

Are you putting on a body kit, or reparing something?

Any autobody repair insurance, or not, is technically expensive. I know what figure I have in my head for all the repairs so let's see if I'm in the right ballpark or not. Doubtful I'll put a kit on, but I know I need a new front bumper so we'll see what I decide when it actually comes down to the numbers and pricing of a new stock bumper.
And first I've heard of zeeks so

What, you saying 40 pages is bad or something? Go look at the London thread.. 413 pages on there second started thread but I'd easily agree that things get overlooked in our thread on pages past. What are we to do

To answer what I know of FaZe's purchase. The cluster is somewhere in transit (hopefully ). He is scheduled to hook up with _Viper_ from Ottawa to install. The cluster is used so I very much doubt its at 0 mileage. It might be more or less than his current mileage - only well to tell (since the eBay auction didn't state) would be to fire it up
