It's run after that, sounding MUCH better, but was "racing up." Discovered that with no Intake Manifold gasket, it will do that.

Today we attached the MISSING PIECE that let out all that oil, put intake manifold gasket back on, and are on the Lower Engine Mount. Should have this thing back together SOON.

And yes, the fuel system seems to have pressurized and the way it ran after that, SEEMS to have compression again..

Fuel Pump sounds like it's not priming.

Thinking changing the filter is a waste, since there IS fuel at the nut at the fuel filter.. and it stays running after start..

Ok. At this time, there is no fuel getting up to the fuel filter.

Re: First post! And.. issue. My 1995 Honda Civic..

We discovered that the Fuel Pump only gets power "sometimes." (No, not like after the 2 seconds, like, sometimes it primes and sometimes doesn't. Wire issue.)

We also loosened the return line.. Yes, fuel was there too.

We also changed the fuel filter today.

Every time we heard the pump rime, there was fuel at the nut. Was loosening and tightening it all day...

The car runs on started fluid, eliminating timing concerns.. Stays running as long as is sprayed.. Dies when it lets off. Races to 4000RPMs*

The spark plug wires were horrible.. Changed them. No change. Same.

I know Hondas do some weird "cycling" of Injectors...

Present diagnosis points to "Crankshaft Position Sensor"?

On a D15Z1.. Where is that? And does this sensor cost a fortune?

This may be my next move...

Bunch of ground wires are supposed to be attached to the thermostat housing, go there.
Check, clean, wire brush to bare metal, tighten.

Ok... Sling Blade hello.. The problem was a cominbation of:

1. Improper Firing Order (see videos)
2. No ground (ground is on it now)
And.. 3. NO GAS.

Watch my YouTube in the next hour for this awesomeness.... TheJCorbi82...

And stays running....

Re: First post! And.. issue. My 1995 Honda Civic..

First 15 seconds....What are you doing? I did not mean it needed more ground wire to the battery ... and that is not the thermostat housing. I assume the original chassis and engine/trans grounds are still intact.

THIS is what I meant when I said ground wires on the thermostat housing:
Name: picture_3978.jpg
Views: 651
Size: 85.0 KB

The computer and the main relay all obtain their ground through the wires at the housing.

At the end when you finally get it to run then open the hood.....*FACEPALM*
I can't believe you are running it without the valve cover. You see all that oil mess it's making? You realize you ruined the timing belt, right?

You should replace the timing belt now....it's contaminated with oil. It's life expectancy depends on it staying clean and dry, and you now have oil splattered on it.

It probably won't let go today or tomorrow, but the oil contamination will eventually ruin the rubber.

But YAY it runs! Congratulations

You have a turn signal bulb out that's why it blinks too fast?

Sounds like they can't figure out how to make it work right.

Probably have turn signal connected to the dim filament of the front park/turn bulb instead of the bright filament.

That wouldn't surprise me.

Well, getting the car back together got delayed another day, there is this Infiniti in front of it that's presenting "problematic nuts." So I may take my battery out of this one to keep it safe.. though it's around the block from the police station.

Unless I park it NEXT TO THE police station, IN VIEW OF THE CAMERA because "right next to, but halfway down the block" is the same as anywhere else in the city.. and, on a Friday night, with focus on DWIs and highways? Might be not secure at all, for the enterprising thief, that sees a Honda outside of a shop, for the second day now.. that screams "New parts............"

Today, I "take delivery."

But first I need to connect a coolant hose.

It's probably something really basic, but, where does this one go?

EX with a VX/HX (?) engine (D15Z1)
Auto trans.

Took about 10 seconds in full daylight to see the problem.

NOW it is routed correctly.

NOW the hose is routed correctly.

Now doing the valves.. VC and Upper Timing cover off, feeler gauges out. .305 exhaust (towards front of car,) .254 intake (towards rear of car.)
