Re: *CivicChick2001's Build/Car Thread*
the older the car, the longer it takes. 92 accord took me 2 hrs of scraping bits of dried glue, the 02 civic (when less than a year old) took maybe 20 mins. most of it pulled right off.
Re: *CivicChick2001's Build/Car Thread*
yeah.. it's a tough choice to make, but on the other side of it, every car i have seen that is debadged looks great. let me know if you do it too lowlife
well my car is 10 years old this year, so im assuming that's gonna take a while? i dont wanna scratch my paint gettin all that gunk off. i debadged my eclipse, but it didnt have emblems, it had a sticker for the type it was, and the "eclipse" letters were across the big tail light thing, which were easy to get off. the "spyder" was the only thing that was left. looked hot.

Good choice,
But all you need is goo gone and claybar.

It works wonders.
Re: *CivicChick2001's Build/Car Thread*
take some before and after pics for us
cant wait to see it, i think im gonna do the same thing when im able to get the claybar kit and wax. lord knows i need that more than anything. it feels like there is NO protection on my car, and everything that touches it is scraping it. ugh.. killin me.

hey - ive shared this video before somewhere on here, but look at this please:

it's "ghosting" your car emblem.. im not entirely sure what exactly they are using to do this.. but would something that people use to tint their lights or chrome work? i dont want a matte finish and i dont want straight black. but i do like this tinted chrome look, and i think it would look pretty good on the chrome parts of my car. the 2 H's and the 2 chrome strips. any tips? or any input on what this would look like?
feel free to say it if u think it's lame. not here to make my car look tacky.. so i want honest opinions lol (please)

Re: *CivicChick2001's Build/Car Thread*
I think if you do it, you have to follow through with the rest of the car. So maybe black rims, blacked out headlights and anything else you can smoke out, do it.
However, I don't know if I personally like the colour combination of black and Eternal Blue Pearl. But that's my personnel opinion.

see? we think alike. im the same way.. it looks good no doubt, but with the color of my car, i dont know if it would look good either.

Nah, I still got the H and "civic" still there.
Re: *CivicChick2001's Build/Car Thread*
quick question - (to anyone)
if you crank your car, and it takes a min and continues to reg-eg-eg-eg-eg-eg-eg (thats the sound when its tryin to start) and it doesnt.. what needs to be fixed? mine has done that a couple times in the past month. then i get pissed. turn it all the way off, take the key out, pray, and try it again and it usually cranks. but what is causing that? and how do you fix it? is that a "starter" problem? please help if you know, thanks

Re: *CivicChick2001's Build/Car Thread*
i think everyone has had those random moments. so long as it starts most of the time, i wouldnt worry. just do not keep cranking the engine for more than 5 secs at a time without giving it a rest or you will burn up the starter. it can happen from a combination of drastic weather changes (like when its sunny and then a storm moves in and the pressure changes), weak starter/battery, and immobilizer glitches not reading the key code.
Re: *CivicChick2001's Build/Car Thread*
oh ok.. it got SUPER hot on saturday, and it was parked outside of a store for a few hours, so im assuming that's why it did it.
thanks for the info
