i always prefer debadged look. much cleaner and easier to detail without getting wax stuck in the grooves and stuff.

yeah.. i actually wasnt planning on doing it just yet, but while i was washing it, i guess my sponge thing caught the pointy part of the X of the EX emblem, and it pulled it up. then i was like.. "crap. guess im doin that today too". lol
omg. pain in the butt though. i went and got some goo-gone stuff, but it was mostly my poor finger nail doin all the work. ALL of the glue/adhesive stuff was on the car. none stuck to the actual emblem when i took it off. i thought i was screwed cuz it just wouldnt come off. but after about an hour, i was able to get all of it off.
i also removed the front one i had on the hood. looks much better. that one was easy though.

Despite what everyone suggests, I went to walmart and bought the buffer
I mean, cmon, it's turtle wax, I refuse to believe that it's remotely as bad as everyone says it is.
Mine had the manufacture date of 6/4/11, so maybe a newer model wont be as bad?
Hell, I think civicchick would concur,
At $20, if it lasts 5 times, say, $4-5 per detail, it'd pay off its worth already, just by saving my arms from falling off :P

i havent got to see any water bead up on it yet bc it's been like 95 degrees and sunny for the past 2 weeks. lol.. but i'd rather have sun than rain, so all good.

hey, my car was acting weird again today.. i had to go to the bank, and when i came back out and got in my car, i went to crank it and it did the whole not starting thing. where it goes reg-ge-ge-ge.. but wont turn over. so i took the key out. put it in, turned it a little, let all the guages settle, and turned the key again, and it cranked up... but its been doin that more than normal.. what could be causing it to do that? if im about to go on a LONG trip, i cant have it not starting in the middle of the US bc i didnt get something fixed or changed that i could have.. any ideas, please share them.. thanks

My best guess is the heat's screwing with your starter, or you have something wrong with your sparkplugs/wires
I would pull out the the plugs to inspect them, if nothings wrong with them, get your starter/battery tested at a local auto parts store

Awesome job on the detail.. so shiny!
Mine needs it sooooooo bad. Especially since it's crappy single stage red paint. But it would be a wasted effort with the hail dents so, I'm being lazy and putting it off until I get the dents pulled.
A good DA is expensive but so worth it. I have a porter cable DA and a dewalt buffer.. I couldn't go back to waxing by hand.

okay just make sure you get one for your specific car. that ebay link is for a mazda. oil caps are not the same even for different models of honda.

you call those name brands? lol too bad DC stopped making theirs, best oil cap for our cars and came in blue and red also. I got my polished one for $20 when they were being sold off on ebay last year. i would choose a good brand or keep the stock one. cheap caps can crack or come loose over time and cause a disaster. the dc cap is so tight i need hand tools to get it off.
oh the hks cap is nice too and they still have some on ebay.

cant sleep.. wanna do more to my car.. no funds to do it. major suck.
i need to wash it again since detailing it like 2 weekends ago. am i ok to use that armor all soap that i have still? im not a fan of them, but i cant buy the meguiars soap just yet. i think i might do that today.
thanks for the info about the strut bar and oil cap stuff, i really appreciate it. ill keep lookin for a better quality oil cap. cheap things only end up costing you more in the long run. so i'd rather pay more for something good than somethin cheap that's gonna jack my car up.

Lol, I couldnt sleep last night either,
Way too hot over here on the west coast
Anyways, the armor all soap should be fine.
I know the feeling that you want to do a laundry list of things to your car, but have no monies, sucks big time
I'm getting a pack of sound deadener in sometime soon, so I'll be doing my trunk project in the very near future
