not my call Aunt is paying and she wanted cheap. So in farting around with this heap I managed to move timing 2 teeth. Not wanting to disassemble I left the mount and ps bracket on. Resetting the timing once again! I had a helluva time getting the tension spring to that post because I couldn't pull it towards the block. I had my neighbor help guide it on with needle nose and a flathead. I am wondering if the spring is damaged? I havent torqued down the tensioner bolt just yet.
duralast will do, if that's the case. When aunt says it didn't work for very long, you can say, "well, you wanted cheap.. so I bought vatozone sensors that are 1/3 the price of good sensors."

or it could just blow TF up! Either way ; problem solved!
So P0300 303 and 304 codes now. Keeps idle @1k but it's ruff. I don't have the alternator or ps / ac belts attached. I can't find the adjuster to the alternator underneath. Does someone have a photo ? And my phone only does mp4 how do I convert?
Funny enough, I was just looking at a thread I posted this pic in of the alternator adjustment. View is from the driver's side looking toward the block. It is missing a bolt in this pic, and that's the empty hole at the top
as far as video, upload to youtube and post the link. that's what I've always done

well she , aunt, is ready to junk it. I distinctly remember though getting the codes on 1 and 4 I think ; I wonder if I am chasing a bad coil or 2?
I told her I did everything that I set out to do I fixed the headgasket. Its not overheating. Then the other is its not hemorrhaging oil. She still wants to sell it to recoup $
I had to have dropped that damn bolt adjuster and just cant see it.
definitely misfiring like a bitch. Plugs looked good when you pulled 'em? I imagine you have the ability to pull codes? If so, clear the codes, swap coil packs around, see if the codes follow the coils or not
That knocking sound isn't the engine, is it? I'm kinda hoping it's the fact that it's misfiring and shaking like an old man with parkinson's and maybe motor mounts or something are *****
IDK the knock /slap sound goes away completely @2300 rpm just idle is rough. Its not burning the oil. Its not getting hot. Their is no debris in the oil in fact I almost thought it was water it's so clear. 2 people thought it was bottom engine noise on utube. I posted it on reddit to so I'll get some opinions and swap the coil pack around and see where that gets me.
Well the random misfire is a traveling roadshow. #4 is the only consistent misfire. Any insight ? Each time #4 but the other cylinder is a random roll of the dice.
meant line for the PCV valve to.. wherever the hell it went. Not the PCV valve itself.
After reading brotatochip's comment, it might be the brake booster line. Squish it down the length, see if there's a hard something inside the line. If so, that's the check valve
