Time to work on a new manifold.
This is just a simple mock up.
Going to use mild steel since that's what i can weld.
I'll be utilizing a header built for the A-1 and going from there...

I had to do some extra welding on top of the welds....for pin holes.
It's mounted with the turbo in the car.
Started it up and man it sounds smooth...wayyyyy different tone.
I'll be mounting the waste gate and a couple of support brackets this week.
My welding sucks but it'll work!

stick weld or flux core gasless? lol
Wait a damn minute. lol. You're gonna act like you didn't purposefully frame that Ferrari emblem perfectly so it's just visible and not mention it?

flux core gaseless... i'm finding out that this = uuuuuuuuselesssss
Yeah, the Ferrari is next on my project list!
I need to find out why i'm not getting power to the rear wheels.
It could be a few sensors or the battery.
I could always just put a kart engine on it....

Lol, flux core works.. ish.. For small things. Then again, that's the only welding I've done thus far. Just kinda borrowed my dad's flux core gasless and taught myself how to weld. Some pretty welds, some pretty ugly welds. Lots of splatter. It gets the job done. In fact, my racing seat turned desk chair is still holding up after welding up the bracket for it
Grinder and paint make me the welder I ain't
I know fully understand this quote
So.. not an actual ferrari, but a kit car?

currently have a stage 3 cam
and going to install new bearings in the next month.
I don't like the idea of rod bearings lasting till they break.

Random thought on that catch pan. What if you can up some mounting points to the subframe and put some structural reinforcement on it? It'd double as a subframe brace, no? It'd also be heavy as **** though. Lol

the pan itself is aluminum/fiberglass. I don't think it will help with reinforcement that much...
