Re: Portland

Yeah, your right. They wont whip a book out- I was thinking down the line for when I sell. But whatevz, **** it- they can have an upgraded dope looking cluster. All the clusters on ebay are auto though. Blah. Fine, any manual cluster will do as long it has somewhere between 75-85k. And **** john from CL. I'll have to see what other clusters he has that are manual *sigh*

Preference order:
1) Old 2 door style that lights up red
2) Newer 2 door style with red rings
3) Newer 4 door style with blue rings.

Re: Portland

Anyone got those stock bolts that hold the exhaust manifold to the downpipe? I broke mine off in the EX downpipe I was running. DX/LX/EX bolts are the same. (I'm talking about those spring loaded bolts- dont need the springs tho). Emissions coming up next week at the latest. I doubt anyone does, but its a shot, rather then bending over at the stealership tomorrow.

I'm running JUST a header right now... the LX header... and let me tell you, this MF'er is LOUD. It sounds like a peppy dump truck.

I was at a light driving home from my buddies place and this chick in the passanger seat of her BF's BMW says, "look at that nice car with that getto ****ing exhaust" I had my window down, she didnt notice kuz I dont have tint, and I turn N look at her.... and redlined it. She shook in her seat and STFU in about .02 seconds. HAHA, that things so ridiculously loud. A truck on the next block started revving his truck kuz his exhaust was loud as **** too. Amazing, it honestly made my ****ing week.

Re: Portland

Its all good. I biked down to honda to see how long the wait was on them, and turned out they had them in stock, for the tune of 25 bucks for a set! I was like really? Two bolts... whatever, I bought em and threw em in my camelbak for the bike ride back home. Had to work tonight, so I couldnt throw them on, but I'll get them on tomorrow- might even wire the gauge cluster back. I finally found an 01 manual cluster with 83k on it (I believe) I'll have to double check it once I repin everything! Its totally going to suck if the cluster has a different mileage on it.

dang guys its been a while. I haven't had the chance to really stop by on the forums. Taking a summer Japanese class and its proving that I have to do a **** load of work to just get by in the class. 1 term of class in 4 weeks? Not exactly a great idea lol. But anyways Triz my cluster had wayy too many miles on it. Sorry I didn't get to you before.

Was wondering what you were goin to do with those coilovers? I'm pretty broke again at the moment but I can scrounge around lol. If you don't plan to sell em off I'll start lookin around for an exhaust to play with lol.

Re: Portland

wow lol I just realized I have the same problem as you Triz. My car is about ready for an inspection and I didn't even realize it today. My dad told me this morning lol. Do you guys know if a Honda dealer is the only place to get the miles flashed to the correct ones?

Honda doesnt change the miles on the cluster themselves, they ship it out to someplace in portland- I totally lost the paper and have no idea what the name of the place was/is.

Sweet Honder good find . I'll have to give them a call after i'm done with my classes today lol. If I get my miles changed there I'll let you guys know how much it is. And i'm seriously thinking about getting my gas light checked at the dealership too cause I have no clue what to do with it and its been pissing me off for a while now. I posted again on the elec. part of the forum but everyone thinks it the wiring and **** but I know that you and I did a thourough cehck on the wiring and stuff Honder so I'm not sure what else it coudl be besides replacing that fuel pump like you were saying.

Well we know its not the cluster because we swapped mine and it did the same thing, so it's got to be the signal going to it. Just hope the dealership doesn't rape you on the charges

Re: Portland

What kind of exhaust are you looking for? I just put my stock back on- I'm headed over to DEQ after I reset my srs light. Got the header back on, O2 sensors rewired and working, exahust pipes hung and bolted on. Shiiit I think I'm ready. I reset the ECU a few times to be sure there arent any codes still chilling that they can pull. If they do, I'm blaming some guy off CL that said he was a honda expert.

Anyways, Honder- I got the cluster repinned and its all good. I found the excel sheet from dirtysamuari, but they didnt match how it was orig pinned- I just went off the pictures I had taken when I did the swap. It took 1 hour and ten minutes total to do the entire swap. What sucks tho, is that I have a bulb missing off the back so I gotta yoink it out again and replace it with one off my orig cluster. I should probably check the stickers and make sure all the numbers are the same, and swap them if they arent.

Re: Portland

Wait, you reset the ECU? I thought you had to have it completely re-learned , which takes a few days of normal driving....

And the SRS light, they don't care. I left mine on and they didn't say a word
