COSCOM one Tony, over on the east side of Bragg Blvd. It's the only one that has a FW lathe, but they both have brake lathes. Corner of Blackjack and B Street. Much nicer looking shop than the 82nd one, but they're both set up about the same.

hey man. How did you take off tranny? did you remove the whole subframe? I need to replace my tranny as it sounds terrible when the clutch is not pushed in.
Can you post pics of where you have your jackstands in the picture and all that?
I like pictures
Let me know!

Those cars are in a barn because the guy is renting it out. Real estate is hard to come by in the UK, so they don't have many options.
As far as removing the tranny, it's fairly easy (relatively speaking). Raise the car up and put jackstands at the points there under the fenders.
Pull the starter and the thermostat housing, then unbolt everything that attaches to the tranny, including that little bracket the clutch line secures to. You will have to pull out the reverse sensor to get that bracket off. Once everything is off and unbolted (front and rear motor mounts and tranny mount too), separate the tranny from the block and use a piece of rope to hold it out of the way (tie to the rad support).
Pull the clutch and flywheel off, and then the tranny lifts right out of the top.

Sweet! Glad to see you're still chuggin' along... I've been following the thread since the beginning and didn't want to see it just stop knowing that there was so much more coming!
Glad the deer thing worked out for you...does that mean you'll be sticking with the EM instead of scrapping it and going with an ES?

That's just a piece of exhaust flex, Ching. The new mani and DP setup won't be running a cat.

Thanks Carl!
Nope, Rustoleum outdoor enamel. That stuff is great and perfect for things that don't get too hot like trannys and intake manis.

That shoot looks dope for DIY.....I suggest some high heat paint for it....DO NOT DO NOT use duplicolor at all....bubbles like crazy. I used VHT from oreilly's and it works like a charm and looks dope.
Sweet *** on that D21 btw!

It was a regular 4-bolt DP (2.5" flange) and I cut that off and put the 3" v-band clamp on there to go with the V-band Garrett turbine housing I bought in an attempt to get enough room to put my AC back on. I haven't fitted the mani and DP to see if it clears yet, but it should. That DP has a really tight radius coming off the flange so she should swing enough to clear the compressor. We'll see.
You can eat me.
I could grind down the welds on it, but I really don't care to. I just hit it with a wire brush. It will only be on there for a grand total of 20 miles anyway. Once I get it inspected down at the DMV for a US title, all that **** is coming off and the new mani and dumptube is getting put on and Adam is getting this mani and DT.

Yeah the 3" issue with lack of room was why we did not go 3" to begin with
