Rep Power: 410 true. i really wanted the canon 70-200 f/2.8L but that thing is twice as expensive as the sigma 70-200 f/2.8.
anyways, great purchase. i hear the f/4L is sharper than the f/2.8L (both versions)

Rep Power: 761 Nice shots, badass lens.
Yours is actually the lens I wanted, but they didn't have any in stock at my camera place yesterday, and I didn't really want to spend another $4-500 just to get 1 extra stop, so F4L it was. The Canon 2.8L is just too expensive to justify the cost. I would maybe have waited for the Sigma, but I am planning on shooting a couple of events this weekend, and this lens is going to be perfect for the job. Granted 1 is an indoor car show, so that stop might have helped, but I'm sure I will still be OK even if I have to shoot at ISO 1600.
I haven't really played with it yet, but I did take a few test shots with it last night. One of them was of a can of rootbeer @ 70mm, 1/40, 3200 ISO... the detail was amazing, even at 100% out of the camera, it was very sharp and very little noise.

If I got home 5 minutes earlier I would have had a picture of a 100% perfect rainbow. It was completly solid throughout and unbelievebly vibrant.
I was in awe when I saw it, because I have never seen a rainbow so perfect. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen
Also excuse the quality of the picture as it was thrown together just to share here. I am sure you guys apprecite the awesomeness of the opportunity.

Rep Power: 410 without the media pass, i get hassled by security. they tell me to open my backpack (it holds my camera + lenses + some other stuff), so i show them my camera, and then they let me on my way.
