Every time you put it on, does it come from the same spot? If it comes from the same spot, pull the head off and check that one spot. If it is at the same side, but different spots, flip the gasket, look at the gasket in that spot, and get a new one. IS there any pics you can take. Maybe we could help you out more. Try taking to a mechanic or honda about the problem. Maybe that know something we're, your, over looking.

Check it very carefully for smoothness. It has to be completely smooth with no bumps. Oh and did you put the bolts on in the right order? Also the guys that did mine said if a head bolt starts to squeak going in, you have to start over. My new bolts didn't squeak at all.

I'll take a look at the service manual to see if it says anything.

Then you need new bolts--total of 10 for $10 each = $100. Sucks, but at least it won't leak anymore. Make sure you tighten them in the proper order. Get a new gasket as well, since the other one is bad by now.

Just a quick Q. What else would I need to install with my KMS manifold to make it work ? Mine is sitting in the garage for the last cpl. months, some people were saying how KMS manny sucked and how it was robbing engine of its power unless the you bored out throttle body. So is this still true or what ?
Havent been in modifing mode in the last cpl months, so im just getting back to it, any updates you can inform me about or how should I go about with this manifold ? I'd hate to waste something i payed 500 bucks for. Thanks.

It actually will cause you to lose power unless you're boosted. Taking out the IM will most likely involve removing the head, since there's very little chance of taking it out where it is. Then you need new gaskets, and new head bolts if the head has to come off. Not worth it for the loss in power it will give. Sell it to someone with a turbo.

you CAN swap intake manifolds without taking off the head...been there, done that... But I would advise against it. You will just be losing power, I ran the kms manifold for about 6 months. When I switched back to stock it was like night and day. stock being much better. In my opinion the only way to possibly make it work would be boost, Or to modify it for NA I have been thinking about porting the ends of the intake runners on the inside of the box and shrinking the size of the plenum. Doing those 2 things should incease the velocity needed to make it do what it should. Sorry to say but it is a waste of all of our money

thanx! well I have another quick quesiton. when its all said and done with, on engine parts for our engine...like for an intake, pnp, throttle body, pistons, rods, valves, etc. to beef up our D17 how much HP are we talking (including exhaust) because i've got some money saved up and I dunno if its worth to spend all that money on beefin up a D17 or keep saving for a swap...but first off i wanna know approx. how much hp could our engines get with those mods i listed above. thanx

Hopefully I can get my car tuned on a dyno before winter. I have a port/polish head, and the TB is getting bored out in a week or so. Then I have vafc for air/fuel that needs tuning. It won't be much of a gain I think. Our cars are built more for low emissions.

I got thinking about that Gearbox....do you have an aftermarket flywheel? If so...getting a flywheel that is too light could cause your car to idle rough and stall out.

All I have is the head and few very basic mods like iridium plugs and hyper voltage system. All of which weren't causing problems before. The idle is actually on the very low end of the proper idle, but the head seems to need a higher idle to keep it going. Bigger ports=slower air flow=more air volume necessary. I'm hoping the bored out TB will help this. If not, I'm just gonna adjust the TPS until the idle goes up a little. All I need is maybe 100-200rpms more.
