Lol! APRboy, you're right about the hp thing. That's why I've been going for exterior mods and leaving the engine stock. Now as I'm getting back itno it, nothing works out. Just get a turbo and don't complain I guess. That's what I should have put the $1800 I threw at DH towards.

Well, if you do intake, HP Race header, hi flo cat, 2.25" exhaust you should get some noticeable gains. Like i said, there are lx's (no vtec) running 15.7's consistently, which is a def. improvement over 17.3!!! We can keep up with stock 7thgen SIRs no prob!

Not bad at all. I have the HP header waiting to be installed with the DH head, so we'll see what that does. Then maybe I'll look into exhaust and intake. That's a good improvement on those LX cars.

Hell yeah, we are really pleased!!!! If you decided to get an intake, whatever you do, get the AEM V2!!! I've had the Aem cold air, the INJEN Race Division and now the AEM V2, and i love it!!! Sooo loud, and pulls hard!! When i first opened the box i was like, "short ram, WTF, i ain't getting nothing from this!", but once i saw the huge primary chamber and then put it on, wow!!! Worth every penny!!! And since it's a short ram, i don't have to worry anymore about getting the filter wet or damaged cuz water will never get up that high.

Are you serious? I heard it was crap from multiple sources.

Yeah, I thought K&N was the best because it didn't rob low end torque.

THe V2? Take it from me, i've all all the big names on, the AEM cold air, the INJEN Race Division and now this...I'm finally satisfied with this intake, and won't change...I was sceptical at first cuz i hated the Aem cold air 2 piece that i had when i originally bought the car, it was a waste of money. THE INJEN was better, but this V2 rocks!!! At least on my lx it does. I think i'm getting good results from it cuz i already have header, hi flo cat and exhaust done too. If you just put this on a stock civic, it will be too much air to flow in and it prob. won't work right. I love it and highly reccomend it.

Good points. And I've also been hearing that the lx/dx AEM dynos were higher than ex for some reason. Still it's good to have all parts done, otherwise just one or the other won't help much by itself.

funny, this thread went from pulleys to intakes...ok then I have AEM CAI with Bypass valve, where can I get the AEM V2 for less that the 200+ I have been seeing?

Very true gearbox, if you want an intake to work well, you'll need the car to have everything working well, nice header, hi flo cat (or no cat, lol), and exhaust...I'm gonna dyno the car in June i think with the local car club along with 5 guys from this board so i'll post up the results then...just gotta figure out what to do with this pulley, Josh pm'd me just before he got banned and told me to give him my address and that he'd ship out my spacer....i gave him my info, now whether or not i should install it is another question i have to answer...hmmmm...

Read this before you decide what to do with the pulley.

How have UR Unorthodox Racing been in the game so long? All the magazines are always using there crank pulleys. How come everyone isnt saying how bad they are if they are. I'be been reading post on other forums about tyhem for years but everyone has mixed views?

Well about 1/3 tried to sell theirs here or on ebay, and some more of us are on here posting. Some of the other buyers don't come on much anymore, so I guess they're not doing anything either.

Thats what I was thinking, even if your info was good to read and true, I've read success stories beyond the 15K mark too, that was a while ago that is why I thought I could trust the whole issue. I'll just have to see, I may be rebuilding my engine anyhow so, I'll pout it on and see how much worse it gets and try to post for you all-I still believe this pulley to at least be better than the UR pulley-but I'm retarded, we'll see

CDMX, can you post your dyno. I want to see the power band instead of peak HP.

Yeah, cuz peak hp doesn't really mean that much by itself. Like if your car used to have this much hp at these rpms:

2000 - 70
3000 - 88
4000 - 98
5000 - 105
6000 - 115

And then you did some mods and it got bumped up to this:

2000 - 88
3000 - 95
4000 - 105
5000 - 115
6000 - 116

You only got a 1hp peak hp increase, but you got a lot of power other places, and your car will be a lot faster.

Like I said before. Dh-Racing are great businessmen.

What do great businessmen do? They know how to fvck you over, take your money and leave you wondering how you got jacked.

Thats exactly what DHRacing did..... I'm starting to think Dave Hickman finished some professional business school... not a tech school.
