Re: DIY cluster swap 2003 - 2004 dx also available for other models
Hello, Im succesful on doing a cluster swap from an 05 to my 02. Although, when I first fired up the cluster, my SRS was off. Few minutes later, it's stuck on. I've tried resetting it to no avail. I've tried checking if there is a SRS code to no avail. Everything works except the SRS light is stuck on. Any ideas? Anything would helpful. Thank you. I double check pin 8-9 in the green plug and they're connected correctly.

I've tried pulling the srs code and to no avail. I'm starting to see that the fuel gauge is also stuck on full. My hunch is that the cluster is broken as I picked it up from the salvage yard and the car is totalled. What do you guys think?

I have double checked it a dozen of times. The fuel gauge finally moved, I'm probably not used to how much kilometers I need to run before it moves from full. Though SRS Light is still on. when I picked up the cluster, I cut the wiring harness from the car I took the cluster from so I can physically check it as well. So far, it matches.

Hello, I just figured it out and it is a wiring issue.
My 02 Honda Civic have 2 pink wires, one from the Blue Plug(SRS wire) and one from the Green Plug(Canada Windshield Washer Sensor). Because they were both the same colour, I mixed them up. I just had to switch around my modified wiring harness on the Green Plug from Pin 1 to Pin 9 vice versa and it worked after resetting the light. No more annoying lights.
I was actually reading up on some of the thread about cluster swap and they have also rimmed on the same SRS issue I rimmed with but didn't see the answer, I just remembered that I might have mixed the pink wires up.
Also Fuel gauge also works well, just not used to it yet.

Hi all!
My GF's 2004 Honda Civic DX from Canada is now having issues with her cluster too. It occasionally dies, every needles goes to 0 and starts working again.
Current cluster:
HR 0279 572
78100-S5A D160
Thinking of replacing her cluster with: 2003 Honda Civic Automatic Speedo Instrument Cluster 78100-S5P-C540 (shown below)

Do I need to rewire or is it plug and play?
Do you have a photo of the old one_ My guess is that you will need to rewire.
