Re: Update for EMANAGE: WORKING SETUP FOR EXs!!!

Thread is old. Im working on the 02-05 EX + emanage vtec issue on my own right now. This will probably require a piggyback-piggyback to pull vtec signal, condition it, output to emanage, input from emanage and output to vtec engage solenoid.

if they could just write the manual in english. As far as just getting it to work, ive hashed this issue at least twice in the last 6 months, not to mention the many hashings by many capable people before then. Search the forums a bit. Good luck. Ill keep you posted with further developments ECU-wise if I can make any progress (without torching my own ECU)

Re: Update for EMANAGE: WORKING SETUP FOR EXs!!!

Great info Sir, thanks for sharing your success.

I was thinking, if the eManage needs to see a +5vdc or +12vdc signal on its "VTEC" wire, and the factory ECU uses a -5/-12vdc (whatever voltage it is) to sense VTEC solenoid energization, could you use a relay or a transistor + bias resistor to invert the input to one or the other? That way, both inputs (the inp on the eManage and the inp on the ECU) would be getting their respective "high" signal, but the two signals would be inverted, as required, and you wouldnt have the nagging code.

Just a thought. If im way off base, my bad. Thanks again for the helpful post. Good luck. -Brian

No its a waste of your money. You won't gain that much performance from it for the price for it to be justified.
