I use a 2003 Accord ECU ... so this one doesn't have a drive by wire throtle. I already pin the wire in the C101 plug and the o2 sensor wiring is the same way as I did last year with my k20a2 ...

For the reflash I have the Accord key and transponder, so I didn't need to reflash it ...

I'm not a newbie with the wiring and I know what I should do... I only ask about the 31 E pin. This seen to be the only trouble I see after everything else was wire. If I can't have the OEM MIL.... We just buy a cheap code scanner for 150$....less expensive than a KPro.

that part list on hasport, it says for k20a2/3. are those the same parts for k24a2/k20head or are there additional/less parts required?

as far as a stock block all the swap parts are the same except the passenger side mount. you need to modify it or call them to see if they have come out with a k24 mount kit cause last time i talked to them it was in the works. also you will need to use a k20 thermostat housing and hard line cause the k24 housing is mounted at a different angle. oh and depending on what header you will be running, your front sway bar probably wont fit. good luck

I wonder if all the work that is done on the swap it might be more effective to just buy a used RSX-S.

Is it truly that much better or more fun to have all of the RSX parts on a Civic? I am attracted to the idea for sure-but it just seems like a helluva long way to go to get what may end up costing as much as a used RSX-S.

I'm including the cost of the Civic-mine was 15,200 new. Add $3000 or so for the motor, another $1,000 for mounts, radiator, re-flash of ECU, plus at least $500.00 for labor. Couldn't you get an RSX S for $19,500?

Is it the mystique of having a "sleeper"? Let me know.

Dwight

well put think about this, if you had an rsx would you do the same things to it to make it bigger and better? I do not know if engine swaps are the thing to do for an rsx but... you would just end up spendin more money on that. IMO of course correct me if i am wrong

Bigger and Better

I don't know. Perhaps I would try to make the RSX-S better. Who knows?

I don't have the money to do either so I'm probably just jealous of people who spend that much on it in the first place.

Logically thought it seems like you'd just buy the faster car first rather than the economy car-like my 2003 Civic EX. Whopping 1.7 liters of displacement.

It seems like the better platform would be the RSX-S but then again we are in the 7thgencivic forum

I'd love to own just a decently powered autocross car with some great suspension, wheels, and tires. I'm itching to get some track time-going to the mid ohio event this weekend to check out the TSXs and the open tuner class races. It should be a blast.

Peace to all,
Dwight

Before anyone starts flaming, I read through all 17 pages and didn't see this answered. I have a 2004 civic EX, but it's automatic(I know, I know). I've come to the decision I need a K20A2 and was wondering how difficult would it be to change my civic over to manual transmission? What parts would I need? Would it be best to use the clutch and pedals from the donor RSX, Si, or the stock manual EM2? Thanks.

^ with enough money you can make any motor fit... but you just said k20s are expensive so in your case... no it will not fit.

" This thread is about K Series Swaps! Not about how to make your D17 faster or what other kinds of motors can fit!"

Does anyone know if a Jackson Racing supercharger will fit on the K20 still after it's been swapped into a Civic? This question has been plaguing me and I can't find an answer, no matter how much I search.

Yes, it has been done... I believe they used a JRSC for an EP3. Look for TransformedBG's thread.

I have an A3 swap in my EM2. Will a EP3 catback exhaust bolt up to the stock SI cat in my EM2?

Re: The 7thGen Swap FAQ.

sooo why the hell would u post that here? this isnt for ur questions.. its a FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION THREAD about SWAPS...

make ur own thread in the turbo/swap thread board.. about ur problems..and also be specific..from the sounds of it, ur having a hard time driving? i guess. be specific and tell us what u mean and dont post it in here..
