In the turbo FAQ, cat says it doesnt matter. Its totally up to you. You can run regular oil for the turbo break-in and then change to synthetic.

Hey I see talk of NYC I have a place in the city aswell up on the east side. Bac where you live around out side manhatten? Hope the install goes well.
