2001 Head gasket Again?????
Re: 2001 Head gasket Again?????
Nice post.. I am doing mine since i bent valves. I am using felpro headgasket set.
Some thoughts, my civic was 2005 dx.. i own it since 3k.. it clocked 275k miles.
on the subject i did have some overflow issue, and once it tried to overheat this past summer.. i caught it on time.. shut the car off, and noticed i had missing coolant , some air trapped in system.. so i was checking it every once in a while, i did compression and cylinder cleakeage test at that time summer 2015.. all passed.
I bet the culprit was the water passage gasket on the side where the EGR was.
i had to burp that car every once in a while because i was checking it, and fluid didnt go back down from overflow.
the only thing that makes sense it was the water passage gasket.
well i guess i will test Felpro headgasket. never had issue with it, but some civic people have.. lifetime warranty, and labor is cheap , Its freaking ME))
