My car just overheated for the second time in the last couple of months. The first time it overheated, the radiator hose came off and spit coolant everywhere. Thought it was just because the hose clamp broke so I refilled the coolant and got a new hose clamp. Thought that fixed it until now...I just overheated again and now I see that the coolant reservoir cap is missing. Is it possible that there's a pressure build up in the coolant system that is causing hoses and caps to blow off? If so, what could be happening and what can I do about it? I'd take it to the shop but they're all closed right now.

I noticed yesterday that my a/c stopped working. Heat was also struggling when I was using it. Wouldn't work at all when the car was idling. Could all of these issues be related?
