Re: Leaking oil

When tracking oil leaks always start from the top down. Possibilities are valve cover gasket, cam seal plug (cap), Vtec solenoid gasket (if applicable) and rear main seal. While engine is cold use an engine degreaser, rags, and clean the area from top down as best as possible. Can use baby powder or athletes foot spray to help isolate the leak.

Re: Leaking oil

Your pic is really hard to make out, if it were the rear main seal I would expect to see oil to the right of your finger I would think. Follow the instructions HR posted first.

Re: Leaking oil

If it turns out to be the rear main seal that's leaking the engine and transmission will need to be separated to get to the seal. The part is cheap but it's labor intensive. Use Honda genuine seal only.

Re: Leaking oil

Ok..i can do it myself. I rebuild the engine put in head gasket and rings, also put 4 new barings in the transmission as well.
All i might need is a transmission lift. It give me a hard time to take out the transmission and to put it back in.

No need to remove the transmission from engine bay. A jack + a piece of 2x4" wood between the jack an transmission should suffice. Follow the service manual. YouTube's may help as well. https://m.youtube.com/results?search...rear+main+seal
