hey chinkst3r your fighting a losing battle. no one will agree with you... it makes it look like the hood doesn't line up. like you were working on your motor and you slammed your hood on a wrench or something and bent the hinges.
just because you put washers in your hood doesn't mean that you will get any significant cooling. you have a hood scoop thats enough... Mazda made it that way for a reason...
the rotary engine is an engine that was made for the rx7 so imo Mazda isn't going to put out a completely different motor that is unlike any other and not think about cooling and whatnot.. it doesn't work.... if your that concerned about cooling get header wraps. they help..
the car looks good.. now take that and run with it. the raised hood ruins the whole look of the car imo... but other than that, looks OK. drop the raised hood.

lol, well rotaries run alot hotter then most cars, and thats awesome that ur civic puts down 350, few do LOL, but im just saying that it lets alot of heat out of the engine bay, runs cooler then with the hood closed, not saying its for alot of performance gain cause i dont see how that would work out, but the engine runs cooler
however, if you like the way it looks, then leave it. its your car. but just fyi.. it serves no functionality.

oh my god, i thought you got into an accident from the first pic with your hood like that. I must say that its pretty ****ing ugly.....looks like you are surrounded by rice also
he probably saw it on a mazda forum where someone did it and said that it makes the engine run better and all that bullshit, thought it looked cool and than did it to his and just repeats what that guy said

yea, i dunno about the thread getting unlocked, Rennen doesnt usually go back on thread closures, people just cant seem to stay on topic, if we kept on topic and stop post whoring, it wouldnt happen, but ur car is borderline rice, thats not to say it wasnt done well, or i dont like it, but its borderline rice

Sometimes I really think some of you people have lost sight of what 'rice' really means.
This guy obviously put in the money and time and did his car right. You may not like some of the aesthetics, but that alone doesn't make the car rice. I think he did a good job on the car. It's kind of flashy, sure. I, like many of you prefer it clean. I also don't really like the color green he used. But I think the rest of it looks pretty good.
If he put the kit on and didn't paint it, it would be rice. If the car was a rusted piece of **** with NOS in the back, it would be rice.
Let's get some real ricers in the thread again.

Just to point out how inconsistent some of you guys are about what you think is rice and what is not, what do you think of this car? Supermex's car
Now, I don't want anyone thinking I'm picking on him, but I had a pm from him a while back and he had an easy link to his car pics. I think his car rocks.
But according to how you're judging this other new guy's car then you must think supermex's is rice too right? He has stickers on it! It had kinards at one time! It has a body kit! It has/had neons! (sarcasm off)
Rice was the Escalade I saw last night with a VTEC badge on it. I had my camera with me too but the freakin memory stick wasn't in it.
