I would get an aftermarket alarm. I'm picking up an Astra 2-way pager this week. Future Shop is going to install it for 320 taxes in.
Astra is the same company as Nordic Start (same branch.)

From what i know, the OEM one is not an alarm, it is only a remote lock, that is how it was on my car.
D, try this, get into your car, lock it with the remote, then manually unlock the car and get out, see if it rings.
anyways Oem, really sucks anyways, just get a full 2 way alarm, much safer

Ban me I dare you. No really we don't have much right now but let us know what tools you need and we'll try to bring em. As far as the spring compressor I talked with Andrew and he said he'll try to rent one. If not we have to make sure either Jim brings his or someone else rents one.

1983: yep pretty good price eh
Tofast: even if we rent a compressor, we still need someone there who knows what they are doing... (thats if Jim can't make it)

maybe range?? I also know that some of the pager remotes have vibrate options, that might up the price... others have more sensors i.e. ignition, trunk pins etc etc.
the one I will be getting is Astra from F.S. it's got the range I need, and it's in my price range.
The installers at F.S. told me that in the States, a pager alarm notifies you immediately if someone has hit your car, and in Canada by law there needs to be 45 seconds from the time someone hits your car, to the time your pager goes off, b/c of the violence factor. Less people getting their *** kicked. Stupid law, I think.

I can bring my SPRING Compressor, but I might be too lazy to bring my air tools (air compressor).
I will bring my tie rod seperator, and my favourite tool of all (dead blow hammer/sledge hammer).
sweet.
I just installed my coilovers sat, and did a ghetto alignment in my driveway
I have it all fresh in my head, so the spring installs shouldn't be tough at all.
but...we may need/want some extra nuts & bolts, so we just have to maek sure that a crappy tire is close, or that we buy them before hand.
wait: EriK! pickup some extra bolts! I'll PM you with the sizes

I like the whole engine washing idea, I was thinking maybe we can have a detailing party some time this month when it gets really nice and warm. This will include engine washing, interior cleaning, polishing, buffing, waxing etc.
I have a simmonized buffer and a pressure washer and a shop vac that we all can use (who ever wants to use the buffer has to buy their own pads)
what do you guys think?
