Met a guy last night with a Spooned out 1999 Integra TypeR! The guy is gonna start building an RSX with a JDM K20A so there will be a K20A2 for sale nice and cheap...for me...he he he!
I would like to experiment with the D17 before I strip it out and toss it. I'm gonna do some mad research here on what's possible and document all my findings.

ride could be a little lower though I think. I love the gunmetal rims look on a silver car. it makes them look a bit meaner.
but that engine bay....
sick ride

yeah, seriously!!!! well we don't do alot during the week anyways b/c I work at 5 am every day so I can't stay out late. so we usually just watch movies, or TV
Question: How do you get to change stuff like you guys did with your points? I probably don't have enough, but I'd still like to know how to do it.

DnarahP: d00d, sorry -- didn't get to read your post about leaving on friday night.
we could have cruised together!
if you want help installing a tach, lemme know. I don't have the best soldering skills (maybe lilJoe could help out?), but I know what you have to do. it's not too tough...just a pain in the **** to take off your gauge cluster for the first time (it's glued in the stupidest spot).
Player: SWEET. thanks for the link! I'm gonna hit them up (www.japanmotorimport.com) and see if they sell me the shiznit for cheaper (there's nothin like lowballing!) hehehe
man, i LOVE lowballing
hehehe

D00D! SERIOUSLY!!!!!
http://www.japanmotorimport.com
They're in quebec!!! we could save on shipping and just go pick it up!
although...$6000 USD is a little steep. I wonder if we could lowball them with cash?
hrm...like maybe $6000CAD?
hehehe
gotta love a bargain!
hehehe
then again, for that much money we could do the K20A2 swap...well, just about.
hrm...not worth it, I guess. I could just slam in the missing type-R parts later (lsd, final drive).
dang it man...saving money is killing me! I'm tempted to just start saving for the engine swap instead of paying off my schoo loan
hrm...
voice of reason? anyone?
hehehe

d00d, that song was freakin awesome!!!!!!!!!
thanks man

Baller: I got the pulleys. of all the mods I did, that was the most noticable in power gains...BUY THEM!
oh yeah, anyone with an lx/dx looking for a kamikaze header? some guy pm'd me asking me if I wanted it.
not sure of the price, but it'd be cheaper than buying it online cuz its been used.
i'd buy it if i wasn't savin for the swap...

yup, it'll fit the DX. keep in mind, we both have the same engines...you just have a different trim level than I do.
the pulleys...I'd try to snag them from a local shop. checkout www.tornactive.com to get a rough idea of the price, then walk into a local speedshop (local to cali, that is), and lowball them until they can beat the price
LOWBALL! it's ALL about the lowball, man! who cares if you seem cheap...with shiznit like this, it don't matter!

ya i was sure that the pullys would fit, but will the headers fit that this dude is selling? Ive never heard of headers for the dx, cuz of the messed up exhaust system....is this true...or whats the deal. On tournactive they are 150 with free shipping....that seems pretty steep for an online store.

150...not too too steep.
it's a bit pricey, but the pulley's are pretty expensive if I remember correctly.
as for the header: yup, it fits both the dx/lx. direct bolt-on to our homo exhausts.
it gets rid of the cat completely though, so you'd have to keep it hangin around in your garage when emissions check time comes!
it's apparently supposed to unlock more horsepower for us (dx/lx) than the hp header does for the ex/si(can)!!
i'll believe it when i see it, but the theory sounded right when I read it.

yah i guess soo....but i dont get how it eliminates the cat....like it the downpipe not all one piece? Who is this dude and how much is he willing to sell it for? Cuz i already have ex headers...whice i can use with an ex aftermarket downpipe and midpipe correct? And if the headers that fit the dx bolt on eliminate the cat....then the whole emmisions system of the car would be messed and it would not regulate the fuel and air to make a clean mixture correct? Cuz the o2 sensors need to be before and after a cat...so how would that work??

crap, i didn't know you had the ex header.
the kamikaze header goes from the engine, goes down through where the cat is, and then essentially hooks up to where your cat-back exhaust would sit on an LX/DX.
so, instead of having the cat in the homo location (infront of the engine), it turns it into header, thus removing the cat.
as for the O2 sensors: you can buy an O2 stimulator (which I think the guy is selling with it) which tricks the ECU into thinking all is well.
i wouldn't buy it if you already have the ex header, though! if you do, just look for a busted up ex/si and steal it's cat from a junkyard.
then you can hook everything up without troubles! well, if you get an EX/Si catback
if you don't get the catback, then just take it to a local shop and they'll weld everything together for relatively cheap (100-200 bones).
