odd engine swap

odd engine swap
Illinois has some pretty stupid laws
That said, I have done the paperwork and have a donor car.
My problem comes from the fact that the engine in the donor car isn't what i thought it was.
Deal is as follows:
reciever car is in great condition aside from a blown engine
donor car has body damage and Xmsn issues but the engine is in excellent condition
donor engine is an L13a1
My question is:
What parts do I need to pull from donor car to make the L13a1 run in the new car
i am new to engine swaps but an adept mechanic who knows not to run in blindly

L13? What did that come from? JDM take out?
My opinion: Sell it, and put the money toward a decent engine for the 7th gen car (assuming 7th gen car as you put the post in 7th gen). Either same drivetrain or a K swap.

...so you're dropping in an 84hp engine into a car that was already under powered with a factory 110-127hp engine?
Ezone is right sell what you cal and get a good used d17.
Since you're obviously not swapping for power a D17 TO D17 swap makes the most sense.
-The engine mounts line up; the ecu harness wires line up, the sub frame lines up, the ecu works, the exhaust bolts up, the axles mate to the brake knuckles.... and so on.

L engines won't bolt to the trans in the Civic IIRC. Research that to be sure.

Alright so i did some looking and there are "ways" to get the xmsn and L13 engine to work together however they involve modificatoins im not ok with.
So i would like a new engine. Im just gonna burn some cash. Whats a good place to get k24 engines
