Re: Kennykid2002's Build Thread
It's probably just the type of metal. I used the blackest possible rustoleum and it still comes out gray-ish. It's weird, because I used the exact same paint on my calipers and they look really dark and glossy.

Re: Kennykid2002's Build Thread
I wasn't going for gloss either, I was going for matte.
So the drums don't really show up.

Re: Kennykid2002's Build Thread
Same Rustoleum high-temp black paint = Matte dark gray drums & Gloss black calipers.
That's just how it ended up, lol, I can't explain why...

Interesting.
I mean, I don't mind the calipers being glossy, just as long as the drums aren't showy.

I used the Krylon High temp, it was glossy as hell, and didn't work good.
This can of Rustoleum high temp was like the last can in 3 walmarts.
Idk what happened to all of them, they just disappeared.

Nice meeting you too.
Now to start a local EM2 crew :P
Yep, this is a lot louder than my gay ebay pipe.
Also stays a lot cooler too.

Re: Kennykid2002's Build Thread
Not really yet, I've been running an intake before, so not a huge difference in sound.
Haven't drove the car enough to notice any difference.
I did too, it was pretty annoying how it hit the hood. This fits like a glove in there.
Will be selling my cheapo pipe momentarily.
Tucked the red power wire, and repainted the VTEC cover flat black.

But definitely worth it IMO.
Definitely a little more power in the lower RPM range compared to my ebay pipe.
Anyways, just hit 80K miles on my vic.
Rerouted the throttle and cruise control cables, removed the brackets holding the cables, and repainted the header.

Re: Kennykid2002's Build Thread
Not yet, still trying to clean it up more
Going to move the hoses that I can, and going to redo my big3 upgrade, with black ground cables.
The red is really bothering me.
But I made that with free materials at the time.
I really want to do a battery relocation, remove abs, and remove cruise control (or relocated it)

DIY: Big 3 Ground Wire Upgrade
Finally swapped out my red big3 wiring kit, thanks to Krudmuphin
(Btw if you're reading this, yours will be there soon)
No more thick red wires!

Here are my red wires in comparison.
They were quality Monster cable wires 2 gauge wires, but the red really annoyed me inside the engine bay.
Oh well, out with the red, and in with the black!

Better to go with a good brand name.
