Re: umm dont know what happened
ONE?!?
bwaaahahahahaaa! nah, there were many more
search key words: "Ghetto intake"
https://www.civicforums.com/forums/7...ever-done.html
https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...ed-intake.html
https://www.civicforums.com/forums/7...take-tube.html
https://www.civicforums.com/forums/4...work-pics.html
https://www.civicforums.com/forums/4...ool-civic.html
https://www.civicforums.com/forums/2...ke-system.html

Edit:
The question is: are they reliable? don't know.
Do they give more power than the normal brand ones? Well... the brand ones does not actually give much more than 4-5 ponies anyway, so what's the difference anyways?
Unless you really want to do a high level tune, does not matter in the end. But the fun of doing it and learning how to do in the process is what made the honda tunig what it is now. pionners that did the first engine swaps, the first disk brake swaps, etc, etc. I do respect a lot their will to have it done, having the information or not. they just went and did it.

Re: umm dont know what happened

02civic02 asked me if ihe could use one of my comments too. (he have not been around lately, though..., so see below
- that was on a "should i change my timing belt?" kind of thread... i guess that was convincing enough?)

Re: umm dont know what happened
ok i just found a skunk2 intake manifold that was described as an intake mani for a 1988 to 2000 civic/crx/delsol but the fitment chart says it fits a 2001 d series engine. is that correct will it infact fit my d series or not

Re: umm dont know what happened
If you want to do a manifold swap then either do the d16y8 one or contact Gerry at JDMfabtech and have one made, but you won't see any gains by adding one on a stock engine. Manifold swaps are beneficial on F/I set-ups or high compression engines.
Re: umm dont know what happened
Omg I checked everything and had a shop check it too the install was good but I still have a gut wrenching banging noise from my driver rear everytime I hit a bump. Its bad. I looked at the mount in back and the bad side damper rod end is is threaded the end where as the other side is just right. Im at a loss here I don't know how to fix it or adjust the height. Please someone help dunno what else to do
Re: umm dont know what happened
The shop didn't really say much as they don't work on aftermarket stuff and ivebeen looking for rear mounts and can't find any I wanted to get aftermarket but don't know where to look
