Power locks delete

Hello I have a 1998 civic coupe ex that I got recently. It started to have an issue where it would lock itself and I couldn’t unlock it from the inside or out so I had to take the door panel off. So I swapped out the door latch thinking that was the culprit but it still locks it self when I’m driving making me have to exit the car thru the passenger side to unlock it from the outside. TBH Im tired of dealing with this so I wanted to ask if it’s possible to just delete the power lock system in that door and make it a manual lock. I ended up getting door panels without the option of power lock so hopefully I can.

I haven’t tried that but I did something similar, I disconnected the lock actuator and it still locks itself. Could it be the lock cylinder?
