wiper issue

I have 2000 civic lx and have issue with driver wiper, when it would go up would clean perfect but on down swipe it left a good id say 3in spot starting at top blade down that does not clear. I have replaced the arm and blade but a issue still persists, cleans perfect going up but down now a spot at center of blade id say 2inx4in strip starts about half way thru the down swipe to bottom. Ive tried old trick my dad taught me of cleaning windshield with purple power then glass cleaner thinking maybe just build up on glass but that didn't help. Anyone had this issue and know of a fix?

Re: wiper issue

I was gonna try that but being a new arm figured maybe would be set correctly. Suggestion on maybe what spot on it should try bend? Forgot mention in first post i noticed if i put slight pressure against the arm with finger it would clear the spot on down swipe but soon as lift finger spot was back.

Re: wiper issue

Not that i can tell from looking at it, but would think if did the area would have stayed same spot and not changed from top to middle. I can check it though to see, it has me baffled never had this issue on other vehicles.

Re: wiper issue

Does the linkage have slop? You can replace the bars in the linkage
