06 civic wiper issue

Question 06 civic wiper issue

Just bought a 2006 civic to go back and forth to work, has a annoying issue however. Upon starting the car up the windshield wipers cycle once and go back to their normal position, just a annoyance but would be quite interested if anyone might know how to cure this, also missing the rubber strips for the sides of the windshield, where might be a good place to get new ones?.

I assume you have a 4 door (sedan)?
There's a tsb on the wiper issue that sounds pretty similar to yours, it probably just needs a new cover plate for the wiper motor
Other symptoms I've noticed when this part is needed: Sometimes the wipers will swipe by themselves while driving just from the wind moving them, and sometimes you can kinda yank a wiper upward and cause them to swipe
