2011 LX sedan wiper problems

About two months back, I had both my wipers changed to the Bosch evolution (24 & 26) ones and they seemed to clean really well. But about a month after installing them, the passenger side wiper came off on its own while I was driving in a rainy day, and the whole blade flew off to the road. I picked it up and found that the clip got broken somehow, which is why it came off. The Autozone guys were happy to replace it with a new one.

However, this happened again yesterday on the new passenger side wiper and it came off. Same story- the clip got shattered to 5-6 pieces. This time I noticed however that the blade was bent outward out a bit just under the spot where the arm hooks itself to the wiper.

At first I thought it was that particular piece, but now I think it could be my wiper arm. The driver's side wiper is still fine and they make no funny noise when in operation. Did anyone face a similar problem ever? Or am I missing something very obvious that might be causing this? Any help/hints/insights would be much appreciated.

Re: 2011 LX sedan wiper problems

Did you install them first, or did the Auto-zone guys do it?
Remember that they do it all the time, and it's probably pretty obnoxious..

Watched them replace my wife's wipers on her old car (2001 mercury grand marquis)
I swear the guy was within 1/2 inch of snapping the thing in two...they are not gentle with it.

I'd pop the other blade off, is you are comfortable you can get it back on, and compare the two arms and see if they look the same. Could definitely have something bent that is causing the issue.

I installed both of them myself following all the right directions. The driver's side wiper functions ok, so I don't think installation is the issue here.

But I will try taking them both off and compare the arms as you said. Thanks for the tip

those are high quality blades.. i have the same blades I installed myself a year ago with 0 issues. turn on the wipers and check your wiper arm that the blade attaches too.. on the passenger side. for any abnormal movement

Hmm I did check both the wipers for any abmormal movement, and so did the guy at Auto-zone. Guess I now need to see another same model wiper arm to compare whether mine is bent or not. I am thinking the Honda dealership might be able to inspect any problems

Never cared for the fits all plastic adaptors, they do fail too often.

Did you keep your stock blades ??
