Oil pan grommet [solved]
Oil pan grommet [solved]
On my 99 civic ex there is a rubber grommet a few inches from the drain plug on the bottom of the pan. I tore the grommet and all of my oil leaked out. I CAN NOT find anything about it. Is this not normal? Does anyone know a part number?

Re: Oil pan grommet [solved]
I mean, a 100% legit but kinda ghetto fix would be to weld on a small plate to cover it, provided it's a steel pan. Literally best bet is to replace with a new oil pan. Prolly an hour DIY job.
I've been looking and I cannot find a single D16 oil pan that has a hole right there (much less anywhere other than the drain plug hole and some aftermarket with a turbo oil return line bungs pre-installed a lot closer to the mating side). The hole is way too clean to be a DIY job, thus adding to my confusion of why tf it's there.
