Front Motor Mount Help

First time posting on here, and not super mechanically savvy. But I am replacing my front drivers side motor mount. Bought new mount and bracket together for under $100, got my engine jacked up, old broken mount off, I just can't seem to get the bracket to go on. I got the mount itself put in, but after the mount is in place the bracket doesn't line up correctly. Anyone else have this issue? Or know of ways to fix it? Any help at all would be much appreciated!

Re: Front Motor Mount Help

The position of the engine has shifted, jack it up a bit and the holes should line up.

Don't tighten anything until all the hardware has been "started" in the threads.

Tried jacking the engine up a little more, still not lining up. I also tried to line everything up before tightening everything, still could not get all the bolts to line up.

Re: Front Motor Mount Help

Use your hands to move the engine around. Or a pry bar.

Got it! Used the pry bar and it slipped right on. Thanks to both of you for the help!

Re: Front Motor Mount Help

I did get the correct mount, I knew of the difference in the sedan and coupe mounts before purchasing, so I double checked everything. Good info on that thread though!

Re: Front Motor Mount Help

Any one see a problem with this front motor mount? I was thinking of just super gluing back in.

I have, but I'm good with just replacing these every view years. Not too many mcdoubles compared to a car payment.
