Front Windshield

Can somebody tell what is the best specs to look for replacing the front windshield of honda civic ex of 2001. I called the honda dealers and they said it will cost more than $425 min. I live in North Arlington. What specs to look for and any place to go for thsi repair, which is reliable and not expensive. Please suggest.

any windshield will work, theres nothing special about the honda one. its just glass. and shouldnt insurance cover the repair anyways?

My last estimate in Ohio about 3 years ago was around $200 cash price (probably slightly more if using insurance) Check other glass shops.

My replacement is a Pilkington Solar, It has a nice tinting at the top.

No your windshield paying cash should be well under $200 I suggest because I am a member of FixMyWindshield.com i would give them a shop and you can see multiple prices from multiple retailers.. also there is other online resources.

Facts : APT , Pilkington, LN, PPG are all good brands for your car.
do not use used glass
